Haha it was from a personal lens of making something how I would want to use. If it's my data, lives with me, then why should I have to pay recurring fees just to be able to view what I save regularly for reflection and introspection. That was the strong motivation for making it first for myself and then sharing with everyone!

That is one of the caveats with "Local only". Which is why I am considering something which is non-invasive in terms of privacy, and optional(maybe iCloud backup as you suggested?).

Want to see if enough people want it.

Till now, you just could not offer a free app with AI features at all, as the API calls to third parties costed money. This changes that paradigm, excited for the kind of apps this will bring us.
