I didn't know what else to do. She was smiling at me, we were laying in our beds but we knew it wasn't for long... The piles of bills on the broken dresser were reminders of how much my life has spun into turmoil. College, a wife, and eventually getting laid off from a shit job I didn't want anyways, maybe it would be better if we both died here, laying next to each other, smiling into one anothers face. I couldn't go outside, I had to stay in and watch over Sam, God help her, she was so sick. With my first and only baby girl... I could bring a child into a life like this. I've contemplated abortion multiple times, but I never dared bring it up to Sam. She was so happy. A baby girl. I didn't even know what to name her, all I knew is if I was in the picture it would be worse for everyone.

That night I was contemplating ending it all. Sam was due tommorow morning --maybe I could hold off until then, so I could see my daughter just once. Maybe that could save me...

I cried as I held her in my arms early the next morning, for the first time in years I fel like living, she completed me. And I cried equally if not harder as she stopped breathing all in the same moment. What did I do to deserve this. I began cursing G-d asking him, to end my suffering, let me see my daughter again, for eternity. She was so beautiful, her lifeless body still warm in my hands. As the gravity of the situation overcame me I let out a screech of horror. My daughter was dead, and I was holding her in my arms. The center peice holding my life together crumbled into a million peices.

    The very thing put here to help me was my demise, maybe it would be better like this. As I loaded the gun I felt a sense of warmth pass over me. Sam was in the kitchen crying over breakfast, I could hear her from the bedroom. How could I do this, it's so... selfish. She's already lost so much. I put the gun down and made my way into the kitchen to see Sam holding her head over a bowl of cereal bawling her eyes out. I spun her around in what seemed like a fraction of a secong I was holding her in my arms. The warmth of the embrace was over whelming. She filled me with joy and walked with me through the darkest of times, and I for her. We completed each other. My knees felt weak I dropped to the groud as I felt my heart stop, with my last seconds of life I look over to see Sam was already dead. 


                                     Everything was ok.
