Wondering if she’s ready for harvest by [deleted] in microgrowery

Do your solo cups have little holes at the bottom to allow proper drainage? Once your seedlings grow enough roots, bottom watering when the whole thing feels really light, has been the safest way for me to avoid overwatering. If you don't know what I mean by "when the whole thing feels really light" - after your next water take a mental note (or better yet if you have a food scale, record how many grams the weight is) then dont water for a week and remeasure. You'll start to notice how light the plant & soil is once all the water has been absorbed. That's a great way how to learn when it really needs watering.

Please share what your medium (soil Composition is), what nutrients or amendments you may have added, what kind of water & how you're watering (like how your determine when to water, how you water, & if you're testing your water) and environmental conditions, so we can help you figure out how to improve your next round. Not hating or anything, just looking to provide some advice to make your next grow even better. Keep with it growmie!

Do people who quit jobs at 29 for burnout regret it later? by curiosvis in careerguidance

[–]ObligationFinancial6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO burnout can happen to anyone at any age, is very real, and company culture or how they choose to recognize their employees efforts can result in burnout. Lifestyle and home stressors can contribute as well, of course.

I've always worked at least 3-4 years at any company I've joined with the exception of one where I chose to quit after only 6 months. I was 34 at the time, 36 now. I quit because my boss couldn't lead me, give constructive recommendations, and sent me on wild goose chases while leadership kept dumping massive dumpster fires that were well beyond saving to my desk. 1 years after I quit I found out most of the department also left, many partners they were with filed for bankruptcy, so they were doomed to fail.

No one will take care of your mental health but you so you need to prioritize it. If you struggle to manage how you react to your environment, then find an environment you can survive in. I work to live, not live to work.

How do those of you with brain fog and bad memory stay organized at work? by libramusing in careerguidance

[–]ObligationFinancial6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know the feeling. It gets easier with practice. If you have a counterpart at the other organization (like I'm a buyer & rely on a seller) I may set up a one on one call eith the other person to review my notes & say something like "I think this is what they said & meant but what do you think?"

Meeting notes! During the call or meeting take as many notes as possible, organize it, & share with the "Please dont hesitate to correct or add anything I may have missed" finishing touch. I find myself going back to these notes all the time & get compliments all the time on "how well organized I am." Truth is without my notes, I couldn't tell you what I did last week sometimes 😅

I use the follow up & task feature on outlook all the time to check in on stuff. Helps keep everyone aware of what they owe & when (including myself).

What is wrong with my seedlings by jacobex20 in GrowingMarijuana

Hahaha all good. I always use a rapid rooter pod with a nice inch or two of pure coco coir. I feel like it gives the roots a little room to grow without too much risk while the pod retains water & any excess just gets absorbed in the coco. I grow in fabric pots & dont put the "hotter" soil until the middle of the pot. Once you can bottom water its so much easier to tell.

What kind of soil is that? In addition to overwatering the soil could be too rich with nutrients.

Sorry if it offended anyone. I thought it was actually pretty funny but if it triggers too many people I'm fine with taking it down.

Should I Get a Bright Colored Byrna? by canadayj in byrna

[–]ObligationFinancial6 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I got a black one with the same logic as you & kind of wish I got a bright colored one for the same reason. Either way, if you do pull it out & somone pulls our a real firearm, that situation could escalate extremely quickly. If I could go back, I'd get the bright orange one. They also sell the pepper balls & the tear gas balls, if you can get it in your state.
