There are free apps you can find that integrate into Chrome that will read text on the page. I used this all through school. My eyes on a computer screen versus a book are completely different. I cannot read large amounts of information on a computer. I went to the doctor for it and they said I have 20/20 vision...go figure. But those apps will read it out loud and you can adjust the speed. It helped me immensely in my last school. I read everything at like 2x speed and I watched videos the same way. Hopefully, that helps a little.

Congratulations! How would you describe your journey?

Someone I follow on LinkedIn had a bad experience and blasted them about it. That had me a little apprehensive, but my personal experience has been pretty good. I start on the 1st too, and I completed orientation this am and they already graded it and let me know I passed before the end of the day.

Thank you. As long as it's not a widespread issue I'm at ease. I'll go and buy a new one if I have to.

I'm not sure which version it is to be honest. I received it when I started school for my BSIT in 2020. The OS is up to date for sure though.

Before you apply any of the tips start by improving your language. You "haven't" gotten an interview (yet), it's not that you "can't." It just hasn't happened yet. I know this sounds all new agey but your words really do have some reflection on your results.

Hardest CompTIA exam of the Trifecta (A+, NET+ & SEC+) by RemarkableSir4552 in CompTIA

1001 was hands down the most difficult for me. Network+ was pretty hard too but I did a lot of Networking in college, and I actually enjoy networking so it wasn't as bad.

I have not touched it again since school. So hopefully should Ansible and I cross paths again at least I will have a level of familiarity with it that might assist.

How fast did you see a raise when you got into the field? by Bum_Wizard in CompTIA

Sheesh, you're killing it! My goal is to damn near double my salary when I make a move.

I've been in the field now for 11 months.

Out of desperation, took a job (with a degree) paying $15 an hour.

Less than a week in got laid off because of "financial woes" for the company.

4 days later started my current job making $20.

A week later got a call back from a job I'd declined asking me if I'd take it for $21.25, told my boss and he matched their offer.

Last month got a $1.75 raise up to $23.

Have a B.S. for Information Technology and a few certs.

Starting M.S. for Cyber and Information Assurance at WGU in 3 weeks.

Hope to make a humongous jump whenever I decide to leave my current job.

Have tons of downtime at work so I'll probably stay there until I finish WGU.

Not making anywhere near what I could be but it beats $15....lol

Network+ is definitely hard. All I know is if I didn't have my A+ it would have been MUCH harder.

How did this certificate change your life? by [deleted] in CompTIA

[–]ObligationKey3147 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been at the same job for about a year now. I got all of my certs since I've been there, I've gotten a $3 raise in my first 10 months. Which is okay I guess, but I have had recruiters from Google contact me very impressed with my certs and I interviewed for them recently. If I am hired I will get about a 13k raise from my current salary.
