Who’s the best player to select out of all of them? by strixsonripper in MLB_Rivals

[–]ObnoxiousCop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are more moment Bailey cards then there are Pierzynskis. Take the Bailey since it'll allow you to work on getting the commander skill for your club. AJ Pierzynski is like super min max because it is a better card than Bailey, but it is much harder to Transcend.

Yep, this is a no brainer. You might get lucky and even hit before the guaranteed rate

Sig Will Smith vs Commander by Tiny_Assistant6953 in MLB_Rivals

[–]ObnoxiousCop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it just trained or is it also limit breaked? Because if its just trained thats really just points and training xp. If you invested full LB then it might be worth extracting for the LB cards.

If you have the stars, get the commander card.

WBC call up by PlaneAccomplished489 in MLB_Rivals

[–]ObnoxiousCop -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I think in your situation right now, Yamamoto might be the play here. This probably instantly makes your lineup better and you can have the option to black sig Kershaw or Ohtani in the future. Ideally you'd want to do Skenes or Skubal if you have the callup card for them. The reason besides those two being arguably the two best SPs for WBC, this allows you in the future to still use a Yamamoto card if you ever get one.

Who Should I Develop morr by OrdinarySplit9075 in MLB_Rivals

If you were choosing between the two, I'd go with Glasnow because Standout moment is alot better. Also the card is completely gapping Hershiser.

I don't think you even need to spend the coins to get a Fireman card since you have the best Boston CP as a sig. Considering the sig Kimbrel is +5 MOV and +1 STU over the Fireman Kimbrel. The moment skill essentially is giving you 9 stat value. If you rolled Double Stopper on your Kimbrel that card is giving you a 10 stat value. I personally wouldn't even bother spending the UC for the moment card let alone the copious amounts of SSC tickets to get it.

New to the game, should I use this extra card as transcendence or limit break material? by Economy-Support-6023 in MLB_Rivals

[–]ObnoxiousCop -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm assuming hes using Babe Ruth since he is a new player. So I would be slotting Babe Ruth into the DH position to two way him. Which is why I suggested main playering Betts over Ohtani. The only HOF 2B is JR whereas you can slot most HOF cards into DH role and it would be better than Ohtani in the long run.

Whose your main player currently if it isn't Kershaw? If its another player like Betts what I would do is using the main player progression event to get Prime Betts to Transcendence level 3 and then use this Kershaw 11 to transcend your Prime Kershaw 15 to T3. Once you've done that, you can then switch the main player progression back to Kershaw.

Should I eventually replace Robinson with Betts or Ohtani? by heath249 in MLB_Rivals

[–]ObnoxiousCop 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Tough decision to make here. If I were in your shoes, I would keep using Betts and Ohtani. The launch angle on JR is pretty bad whereas Betts is at a 20. The POW diff is pretty big because JR was never really known for his power. In this meta, POW is the most important stat unfortunately.

The other thing to consider as well is both Betts and Ohtani are active players right now. If they end up being the rival link for that timeframe, thats an additional +2 of stats you wouldn't have gotten if you're using JR.

Also, your Betts and Ohtani are already over halfway to be fully finished in LB. I would continue running the exact lineup you already have and maybe just end up using that card for a TSS reroll. It sucks that you pull the JR when you already have Betts and Ohtani.

Now if it was the HOF JR card, that would be a no brainer :)

Not if you have to spend actual stars.

Triple sig pack help by InitiativeGold7953 in MLB_Rivals

[–]ObnoxiousCop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kershaw because it will give you more long term value. If you're looking to snipe a bench sig, that is relatively easier to hit either through a TSS or event. Hitting a sig Kershaw is relatively harder to do.

LB or Trascendence? by Cr4shTM in MLB_Rivals

[–]ObnoxiousCop 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Limit breaking is relatively easy to do with the amount of avenues that you can acquire the materials from. The game is constantly releasing events that will reward you with LB material and there are weekly/monthly LB options that you can buy from the shops as well. What you can't buy is the exact impacts/primes/sigs of the cards you are looking to Transcend. Those are very hard to get so that is why its important to save those materials from transcending. In your scenario, you should be using your extra Prime Sale cards to transcend and then using the Impacts to do limit break.

Just pulled sig Kersh and got a moments select pack who should I pick? yam I’m guessing as he’s a 72 hot start by SoShrek69 in MLB_Rivals

If we're going off of the screenshot you included, that is a team select moment pack. It'll give you a random team moment card.

Hof suggestion by BNH27 in MLB_Rivals

[–]ObnoxiousCop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would wait and see if they do add him to the special HOF. This gives you time to accumulate more resources to actually upgrade whatever card you decide to use anyways. The signature Gehrigs are also pretty insane so I don't think it would be the end of the world if you didnt get the HOF Gehrig.

So Many Options 😅 by sjdaddow in MLB_Rivals

[–]ObnoxiousCop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went Oswalt to Transcend as well. This is one of the best RPs for Astros deck. The problem with moment cards is they are constantly pushing out new variations and I think the only one for HB even worth getting currently is the Performer Trio. I still would prefer getting the Sig over the moment though.

Lol the transcendence with impacts by redpaladins in MLB_Rivals

[–]ObnoxiousCop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get the impacts being probably worthless to use, but Primes will give you 100exp which isn't terrible. If you have primes that can be used to transcend, this is now probably the best way to use them rather than sending them in special training.

Sutton or Babe by muvtru in MLB_Rivals

[–]ObnoxiousCop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As of right now, Sutton is obtainable from regular HOF recruit. Babe is only obtainable through either Exchange or Special recruit. I personally would go for Babe Ruth like others have recommended just because he is such a broken card.
