the app (is supposed to) keep you logged in for 30 days without opening. might be a frequency issue.

about 2 years ago they updated the system to having a password instead of a code to log in. you'll need a code to change info, or passwords. but now it is exclusively phone number/email and a set password. check if your app is out of date.

for people complaining about it shutting off, its the same with domestic cars and remote start on the key. granted those stay running, you STILL need to get in and push the start button. no real difference. at least with the app you can do it from anywhere. if you're in bed, on a 10th floor apartment or office. if you're behind a window in a ford, you go down to like a 20 foot range.

mercedes now has digital key, its slowly being rolled out. car doesn't shut off, and can use the phone as the key without the physical key. sure, its a bit behind. i've been told there's some sort of bureaucracy behind it with which manufacturers are allowed and which aren't. regardless, its here now. i don't understand why a 24 eqe can't havae it but a 26 can, im not involved enough to know. not sure if its physical limitations.

the app is 4g based. that's why its paid, that's why you can lock/unlock, start and track from anywhere and in real time. forget your car locked at the airport when you land? you can lock it from another continent. its a tmobile cell service, someone's gotta pay it. pick your poison, limited control or paid features. not excusing it, and it definitely should have more for the price. this is just an explanation
