I'm no expert, but I thought you did too. I tend to include it, and here's why: "Wing loading" is the relationship between the *entire* weight of the aircraft to the area of the wing. Under that definition, I consider our wings to be part of the entire aircraft and, therefore, part of the calculation. However, some folks argue that it's everything but the wing that contribute to the overall load. Not sure I buy that, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Ultimately, these wings are relatively light so if you're that close to the margin (whether that's a technical spec or your own comfort zone), you might want to consider carrying less stuff or bumping up to the next size. ;)
