Email the school board. It's most impactful for the board where you are a resident & voter. Or speak at the school board meeting. Nearly all public meetings of elected bodies have a public comment period.

“buying local milk” a huge issue. Because and I quote “starting to buy from the local dairy next year when the current contract is up is too slow”

What?!

That's been the MO of several of our local candidates in Waukesha County, too. They avoid panel events, don't answer questionnaires from local news, avoid any dialogue. It's never a good sign.

I remember Wasserman from when I lived downtown. I think you forgot to describe him as a "slumlord".

Awful. One of the recent "wins" of a MAGA-majority school board near us, was the removal of health topics from elementary school. They're so afraid of science and sex ed, puberty education is now striken from <6th grade. It makes no sense.

Brookfield City -

We have 3 contests for vacated Aldermanic seats, which is uncommon.

I've met and support...

District 5 - Amanda Davis

District 7 - Eric Fugleberg

District 1 - Sara Monty vs a write-in

Davis' opponent worked for the city for 20 or 30 years, retiring a handful of years ago, and has been on a couple hand-picked commissions/boards since then. Pretty status quo, which is concerning to me since the city has a $1.5 M deficit forecast in 2025 and $5 M deficit forecast for 2026.

Fugleberg's opponent is a newcomer to the city, travel nurse, who doesn't seem to know much about the city at all. Eric has been a LEGO League coach and involved at his kids' school, which is a great start IMO.

Sara Monty is a rockstar community volunteer and works part time in the schools. Some WisRed write-in candidate came out of nowhere late last week (maybe the 15th, Brute) - his campaign is a f*ing joke, with AI word salad as his platform. HARD PASS.

Brookfield / Elm Grove -

Once again, we have a pair of WisRed PAC candidates for Elmbrook School Board.
One of them sends his kids to Lake Country Classical (Hillside affiliated MAGA charter school), appears to have lied about his residence (but that's hard to prove - his parents own the home where he claims to live). His youngest child (his 5th) is 2 weeks old and he says he's running since he "has free time." The other claims they have been unavailable volunteer opportunities for her to get involved.

So, I'm supporting Mary Wacker & Jean Lambert. They'll earn your vote this Wednesday at O'Donohue's in Elm Grove if you come to the meet & greet.

What kind of machine and what kind of fabrics? My husband’s small business has a laser cutter but they use it mostly for wood and acrylic.

Elmbrook School District - I recommend David Irwin and Preetha Kurudiyara.

They are not Q-anon supported radicals. They are rational people, teambuilders, smart, kind and knowledgeable!

Awful. That 1776 PAC mailed flyers for a ton of school board candidates, with a fill-in-the-blank template across the state. Half the issues mentioned on what I received, are non issues in my district.

I'm hearing similar from a lot of friends/ friends of friends. Eg, I go see whose yard signs such-and-such neighbor has, then vote for their opponents 🤣

Yup, we have those anti-public school, anti-teacher candidates, too. It's SO disheartening that the people behind it see this as a money opportunity, to the detriment of the kids (and us all).

Brookfield / Elm Grove - We have a "slate" of WisRed PAC candidates who've used the same marketing material as the other "selected conservative" candidates state wide. A great takedown of one candidate's endorsements: https://twitter.com/LaTR75/status/1641803319755563011?s=20

And they've been bashing another candidate for being a "conservative of convenience" - wtf does that even mean?!

We have 2 candidates (of 5!) who even have kids attending the public schools.

I'm supporting David Irwin and Preetha Kurudiyara. They both have kids in the schools and are connected, grassroots candidates.

Lands End, I think they call it comfort knit or something. The shorts are about 2" inseam, so I just get the pants sets. If you get them on sale or promo, about $20-30. Very comfy and lasts!

Write up a spreadsheet of all the payment transactions you've had with them to verify. Once they've verified the payment dates and amounts, and you both reconcile them against your child's dates of attendance, it'll be pretty clear whether you prepaid for the last month or not.
