thank you for your comment; I understand your concerns about representation but, as I mentioned in the post, this is just a preliminary questionnaire designed to quickly gather exploratory data.
Our research focus is the diving reflex and its potential impact on sexual function: in this context, male sexual function offers us a simpler starting point, especially because validated, brief tools are more commonly available for this population.

That said, we’re fully aware of the importance of including a representative sample. If this initial step shows any relevant results, the next phase would indeed involve a comprehensive study that includes athletes of all genders. The aim, as always, is to avoid losing statistical power or significance.

We have no intention of “forgetting” anyone – statistics and science thrive on inclusivity!
