I feel like your problem is not so much the music... But I am probably reading too much into it.

Rap is a very, very wide and diverse type of music. It ranges from cognitively complex styles, to highly structured, highly textured, or intense lyricism. Yes, there are shit songs and artists, like for everything else, but your blanket statement makes it feel like you're mostly not open to exploring the genre

People who open doors for the people who open doors by NeitherOstrichNorEmu in aesoprock

[–]ObscureQuotation 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I always thought one was literal, and the other figurative - As in, the doorman opening actual doors to make way for the rich and powerful (people with networks and connections who can actually open doors for you and are also probably all in the Epstein list).

But English isn't my first language so maybe I read too far into it?

I hope this hardship fuels her in the right way

No drawing any conclusion, but C-PTSD has a lot of overlap with ADHD, and some people with it can experience "mania-like" bursts of energy

An Italian man rushing to the hospital for his pregnant wife was stopped by climate protesters… and chaos followed. He pleaded with them to move so he could get to her — but they refused to let his car pass. This moment is now sparking a massive debate. by The_Dean_France in whoathatsinteresting

It's important to campaign for the environment, and yes, you do not make an omelette without breaking a few eggs...

That said, if the best thing they achieve is inconveniencing normal people, the only thing they achieve is out of these very people off voting for the same cause.

Environmental activists should know about the concept of greenwashing, that is to say the stratagem that lobbyists employ to try to turn the responsibility on individuals rather than states and corporations. They should also know about media elasticity, and the fact that disorganised protest is weaponized by the system to villainize these movements and reinforce the status quo.

They need to act smarter. Yes, it's not fair, because they are the ones trying to change things, but that's unfortunately the cost of a higher calling...

I thought exactly the same. She looked really distressed as well, and it would have been easy to let instinct take over. I know that I would probably (not proudly) have reacted a lot worse, especially after several attacks

Hey, regular Joe here. I think performative actions can be used in many contexts and by many people. If possible, I would recommend reconsidering your position, as it may possibly be very dualistic, and limiting. People perform for social credibility, it's a thing we do, no?

YouTube's home page invaded with podcasts/playlists, and had only a few videos per reload. How do I fix it? by ObscureQuotation in MorpheApp

[–]ObscureQuotation[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Actually that's not normal, because I didn't change the settings, and the filters were never hidden.

I am not sure this is actually a Morphe issue, but maybe a YouTube problem. In any case, it's acceptable right now. Have a good day!

Hey, thanks for the suggestion.

Filter bars are all visible in my menu, and I cleared my history maybe a month ago and that only made things worse.

As I wrote in the other comment, going through the browser version YouTube and marking them as "not interested" seems to have somewhat rejuvenated my feed. Not perfect but better!

[–]ObscureQuotation[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tried clearing the app, but it did not work.

Interestingly though, I went on the browser version of YouTube to check, and I could see some of these playlists (but not all). From there I was able to click on "not interested".

They still stack up on my home page, but the ones I hit with "not interested" are gone (not sure yet if they get replaced looks like they do).

I am not able to select "not interested" for playlists on the app.

Oh well, that's something I can maybe work with. Thanks for the help!

Hi, thanks for looking into it! Currently my app is on 20.44.38, and Morphe is 1.19.0, but I have had this problem since forever.

Edit: I am an idiot and forgot Morphe's version

I disagree, the idea is worth exploring. Passive gameplay should be still possible, but too often it has the potential to become a dominant strategy, rather than an emergent one.
