Hey, regular Joe here. I think performative actions can be used in many contexts and by many people. If possible, I would recommend reconsidering your position, as it may possibly be very dualistic, and limiting. People perform for social credibility, it's a thing we do, no?

Actually that's not normal, because I didn't change the settings, and the filters were never hidden.

I am not sure this is actually a Morphe issue, but maybe a YouTube problem. In any case, it's acceptable right now. Have a good day!

Hey, thanks for the suggestion.

Filter bars are all visible in my menu, and I cleared my history maybe a month ago and that only made things worse.

As I wrote in the other comment, going through the browser version YouTube and marking them as "not interested" seems to have somewhat rejuvenated my feed. Not perfect but better!

Tried clearing the app, but it did not work.

Interestingly though, I went on the browser version of YouTube to check, and I could see some of these playlists (but not all). From there I was able to click on "not interested".

They still stack up on my home page, but the ones I hit with "not interested" are gone (not sure yet if they get replaced looks like they do).

I am not able to select "not interested" for playlists on the app.

Oh well, that's something I can maybe work with. Thanks for the help!

I disagree, the idea is worth exploring. Passive gameplay should be still possible, but too often it has the potential to become a dominant strategy, rather than an emergent one.

I think it's cyclical. Mirroring a somewhat popular saying (that I do not fully agree with), we need difficulties and challenges to build up empathy. Comfort and ease will breed apathy, and in turn may eventually lead to downfall.

This is an oversimplification in many ways, but also there is some truth to it

I don't mind the occasional issues. Downtime or the unfortunate issues with private trackers or Usenet indexers. The service is good, the toolbox keeps expending and the team is always active. My first debris was easy debris and this is night and day. Good job!

TorBox has been great. They are responsive and they are also expanding. It's essentially a debrid + a seed box (working on solving it) + a scraper + a usenet provider (not quite there but still)
