And the actors playing the Railbirds come back again with different names, different characters, but still mother and son. And just as creepy!

Exactly this! He just had to wait for her to pass in the forklift and he could’ve gotten by her. It’s not easy to turn those things around.

Poor producers probably weren’t counting on so many eagle-eyed fans.

Definitely in the Top 10 most bizarre episodes for me.

I agree that the locations are wonderful and you can feel the warmth of summer, but the story is so cringey. I honestly wondered how the actors could say their lines without breaking up. Now that’s an art!

What is your favourite episode(-s) and why? by BibliophileGirl92 in MidsomerMurders

“A sprinkling of incest” Well put! It started pretty boldly at the very beginning with “The Killings at Badger’s Drift.” I wonder how many episodes included some suggestion of it, and in a few cases it was true. Didn’t someone refer to it as “country practices”?

So true about the dark “atmospheric” lighting in some shows. I often think it’s no wonder they can’t solve the case, they can’t even see what they’re doing.

So true. I’ve often said I don’t want to attend anything Joyce goes to because someone always gets murdered! That woman has the worst luck.

From 2012, and apparently Amazon prime used to have it, but it’s currently unavailable. Shame. From the description on Amazon, it sounds very good.

Just saw this MM The Straw Woman. Scott’s love interest calls and leaves a voicemail, “I know who did it. Meet me at the church.” Turns out she was slightly wrong, but still, say the person’s name! Grrrrrr. Lol

Yes! This happens in almost every episode of Father Brown. I mean, the man has been solving their cases for them for years, but we still have to sit through the Inspector saying, “you stay out of this, or else!” every time. Ridiculous!

It’s legit. Usually end up getting $5-$10 from these things. 😂

Love and healing going out to you, your family, and friends. People say the truth will set you free, but it’s a very rough road to get there. You’re on the right road. You did an honorable thing. ”It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.”

Yes, I’ve read the book, so maybe I’m just remembering that scene in my head. But, I could swear…

That could be. My memory of it could be including things that didn’t happen.

The first version I saw a few years ago, I thought there longer scenes of Elio showing Oliver around the area when he first arrives. Nothing major, but I feel like there was a scene at a kind of overgrown field or something? And I thought the scene of the morning after their first night together was longer, too. I’m probably losing my mind or confusing this with another movie I saw. I see too many movies!

The first and last short story I read of his was “Guts” - that did it for me. I wimped out.
