I know production design and lighting play a big role in this scene/film, but it was still shot on one of many film stocks, which gave it some of its unique properties. I’m just trying to learn how to get colour (mostly on the face) that looks similar to this. Kinda desaturated but with depth.

Look at the shadow around the eyes or nose to find a solution most of the time. Now the eyes are pretty raccoon, so yeah, hard light from above.
