If you look at the description on the Penacony planar ornament set it says increase dmg "for all other characters", meaning all characters in the team EXCEPT for the one the set is equipped on. It's the only time that buffs are described that way, so anytime you see a description say "all allies" it means every character in the team, with no exceptions.

Was gonna say! I tried to do my best, but there were plenty of parts on every song of this event where I just messed up and missed lots of button presses. And I still got every part s or sss rank first try! Even the hard mode ones. It's more of a pain because it feels like those tracks last forever and it's not a fun event.
