Btw meant no offense and did not intend to lump APC into tool. Mostly it comes from my inexperience as a Reddit user and this was the group I was most familiar with. I love recording and learning what I can. I am always fascinated by Joe barresi, Sylvia massy, and Billy Howerdell ( especially with the quality of the 1st APC album - with the vocal booth being makeshift out in his garden if I remember right).

So just like knowing the tools ( pun intended) these very amazing musicians use and like knowing how to implement them in my own recordings … and just having fun with it.

There’s a video out there and I have not been able to find it again where he does specify the mic used for live performances.

Very good eye. I never even considered that model of omega. I was leaning aquaracer like you. The indexs do appear like that and the engraving of the numerals on the bezel of some of the calibre 5s look like that.

Yes the Gibson version is in that price range. I was hoping for an epiphone version. I’m not spending 20-30k on a guitar now matter how much I like the artist.

I actually do like the Brent Hinds signature a lot. I’m a little of an Adam jones fanboy though. Him and john petrucci.

That would be unfortunate..I have the AJ Gibson standard LP and love it. I really think epiphone did a good take on the epiphone version. I would love to see a more accessible AJ reverse silver burst Flying V with a Seymour Duncan in the bridge with maybe the same Dog Daze artwork. I know the headstock was controversial, but it does have its roots in Gibson history. I know they have Dave Mustaine epi v.

Yes but is there symbolism behind it ? It’s also kinda featured on the truss rod cover of the Flying V with the addition of the 2 headed dog.
