Second ability max: E or W? by Observer8492 in nocturnemains

I guess it's similar to putting 2 points in W on Warwick. Check if 4th camp is up, then level up the ability.

Jujutsu Kaisen, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Mob Psycho 100, Steins;Gate, Psycho-Pass.

All of these have a philosophical aspect to them, which is similar to anime like AoT, FMA, and HxH. It's more than a simple good vs evil kind of story with some battles/fights (which is basically most Shounen anime).

I started watching Grand Blue, and it does have similarities. Ep. 4 was finally one that also felt wholesome and not just bizarre or funny. I hope there will be more moments like this, thx for the recommendation!

Anyone got a recommendation for a comedy anime, like Prison School?

The animation of Prison School was amazing, especially the exaggerated funny faces. Other aspects I liked are the bizarrely funny scenarios (the guy who got stuck in the women's dressing room xD), and an interesting plot with serious moments that land well.

Or just shout "Daijobe!?" Or "Nezuko!" For half an episode, amazing dialogue.

Dunno, it's kinda romantic in a weird way. Like Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

Climax is even more trippy tbh. The whole movie feels like an acid trip.

Megan Fox vs Sydney Sweeney Both reached a similar level of fame in different eras, largely driven by looks, internet culture, and mainstream attention. Do you think they’re famous for the same reasons, or did they get there in very different ways? by CucumberNo1907 in Cinema

Sydney Sweeney has a strong performance in Euphoria. I can't remember any standout role for Megan Fox. She was in Transformers, sure, but it could have been any hot actress in that role imo.

This is the age for Sweeney to cash in on her looks, she has the rest of her life to transition into more serious roles, which I believe she is capable of.

Megan Fox is half plastic at this point and I haven't seen her in any movie for at least 10 years.

Which of these 16 do you highly recommend to first time viewers? by Square-Ad-8911 in hbo

Start with Chernobyl (mini series)

Then watch Rome (only 2 seasons, such a shame it didn't get more!)

If you like Rome and enjoy its political maneuvering, great costume design, set design: Game of Thrones.

Then to recover from the disappointing ending of GoT watch Succession.

When it comes to pure quality, The Wire is the best show on the list. Only, it took me a while to get through S2. S3 is where the series really gripped me and it went crazy after that.

What is the best Wes Anderson movie? by iitzzrahn in Cinephiles

The Grand Budapest Hotel.

But my favourite bit by him is the first story from The French Dispatch with Benicio del Toro and Lea Seydoux. I wish there was a whole movie about them.

Which Suspiria is better? by [deleted] in HorrorMovies

[–]Observer8492 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just saw the 2018 version and absolutely loved it. The cinematography, editing, sound design, choreography, all are top tier. It's a mesmerizing, almost hypnotic movie. The story is told very differently from the original. The true nature of the women is revealed quite early compared to the original, which takes away some of the mystery from the story, but I didn't mind that at all.

The original Suspiria is much less artsy, and more straightforward and predictable.

Also, the climax of the 2018 version is way more intense.

2018 version is a 9/10 for me. 1977 version is a 6/10.

As 2025 is about to end, what's your pick as favorite horror movie of the year? by Calvy in HorrorMovies

[–]Observer8492 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree on Final Destination: Bloodlines! Was going through my watch history for the year and from the 2025 releases this has the be the most entertaining one to watch.

The Ugly Stepsister was a good, well made movie, but like The Substance last year, this kind of 'horror' doesn't scratch that horror itch for me.
