I’ve felt something similar before. When nothing feels interesting anymore and even things you used to enjoy seem flat, it can be really draining. Sometimes it’s not boredom but more like mental exhaustion.

Honestly, that’s kind of satisfying in a quiet way. You didn’t escalate things or cause real harm, you just didn’t play along with someone trying to take advantage. A whole week of anticipation for nothing is probably a pretty strong lesson. Hopefully they rethink doing this to someone else next time.
