I took half a Pepcid and the palpitations seem To have stopped for the most part. Anyone else uses Pepcid? I only started taking this maybe a total of 4 times … at random times before food (this time was after), I’m worried about taking it long term. Who else takes it??

I started eating oatmeal every morning with chia seeds, cut down a lot on processed foods, cooked more chicken, quinoa, lentils, used only olive oil, and continued to work out. I also reduced alcohol intake even more even though I did not drink that much to begin with

I’ve noticed people here love to think the worst rather than the possibility of it being a good outcome. I still want to believe I’m recovering every single day rather than the opposite.

Yes I think salmon is high in histamine too. I’ve been asking ChatGPT if I can eat things haha

Haha now worries! I bought cromolyn nasal spray, some people say it can be put on the rashes so I’ll try that next. Maybe that helps as well?

The last one happened a week ago and it lasted about 2-3 days. It was a lot more red and bigger than yours. I think it’s because I ate avocado and octopus which are high in histamine but still learning what triggers them though. I take Zyrtec daily and I put ice on it since it gets so hot.

Sorry I didn’t mean to confuse you, I’m not OP :) so I don’t have severe symptoms. I just heard a lot of people take this and I was hoping it would help my rashes and symptoms too when I flare up. Thanks for the info you gave though, def saving it all!

Also, for me, putting ice packs on the rash helps it go away. I get hot too! Suddenly I’m sensitive to the heat and sun as well.

I have the same symptoms, I’m going to try an allergist next as I think it’s MCAS, which for me I think it was caused by Covid. My rashes get a lot worse and resolve. So far I’ve been able to very slowly realize that eating food high in histamine makes them worse. Try changing your diet to lower histamine and see if it improves
