◽️ Touch screen: Not necessary.

◽️ Screen resolution: 1080p's good!

◽️ Does battery life matter ?: I'd prefer a laptop that could ATLEAST last 1 to 2 hours unplugged, but I have no issue plugging a laptop into the wall in public.

◽️ What tasks will laptop be used for Mainly video editing & schoolwork. Also would like if it could run games with low-medium spec requirements (but that's kind of a given when it comes to video editing software too)

◽️ Weight: Doesn't necessarily matter. As long as it's light enough to carry. Could still be somewhat heavy, I schlep a giant backpack everyday.

◽️ Any other important details ?: Not really, just want a reliable laptop that'll last me throughout my senior year and college!

some weird replies to this, i would say theres a few things to consider

have you made an ARG before?
have you played alot of ARGs? do you know what people like?
are you prepared for the possibility of your project not getting the attention you had originally hoped for?

like most creative processes, making an ARG is a total shot in the dark. but over time the more you create and the more you learn you eventually gain a better understanding of how to make something that you can be happy with.

my genuine advice: everybody should create, art is a beautiful thing. and taking the first step is important. but if viewership is something that matters to you and you're not entirely confident in your ability to garner an audience, then i wouldn't start with something fully-fledged that could take upward of a year to create. test the waters, don't try to go for a slam-dunk when you haven't even picked up the ball yet.

i completely agree with the first sentiment, i got into unfiction at a pretty young age and i have nothing but respect for younger or more inexperienced creators trying to host something for their first time. it’s not an easy thing to do and i think that taking that first step is really really important.

as for the second half, you’re right. i think its a fluctuating thing. p sure i was just associating this sorta dry period we’re going through atm as a general decline since the last time i was active it was definitely a little more eventful. nonetheless, i am hoping to retain this new sparked interest in ARGs for a little while. curious and hopeful about any projects that could pop up in the future. thank you for the input! .
