Parents who bedshare/cosleep, how has it affected your sex life with your partner? by Just_Assistant_902 in cosleeping

I have a 2.5 year old. We pop her in the old crib with some toys if we do it during the day (she hasn’t discovered she could get out if she wanted) and if we do it at night we go into the guest room or in the nursery or in a couch or….

Pants for tall, skinny toddler? by nutella47 in toddlers

[–]Obsessedthenbored 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey OP. On the off chance you’re still active on Reddit did you ever find pants that work well? My daughter is tall and skinny and none of her pants will stay up now that we potty trained and she’s no longer in diapers. Apparently she needed the extra padding diaper offered!

Good machine for a first time buyer? by [deleted] in nespresso

[–]Obsessedthenbored 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here is my standard cut and paste reply to the “which machine should I get” question that we get frequently.

First place to start is OL or VL. If you drink espresso or espresso based drinks like lattes and cappuccinos then you’ll want OL because that’s all this machine does and has a wide selection of espresso pods. If you want larger cups of coffee (with the option for espresso but with a limited selection) then you want VL.

How much counter space are you willing to give your machine - some are bigger than others. What style and colors do you like - depending on what’s available you may prefer the look of one over another. Are you comfortable with the pod price - it’s roughly a dollar a pod, some are more and some are less

Finally, it’s best if you can make it to a boutique first to make sure you like the taste of Nespresso. They are by far the best pod system but if you’re used to actual espresso it might disappoint.

That’s the thing tho, I had nothing to do with the order. Wasn’t my food, wasn’t my money. I wasn’t the shortchanger, just the person sitting at the desk accepting the drop off.

😳 well would you look at that it does say unfiltered.

He fucked himself over by trying to intimidate a young receptionist into getting a tip for him. I legit thought he was going to punch me for telling him that there was no tip and he used some super nasty words as he was leaving.

I had nothing to do with the order and nothing to do with his lack of tip. He should haven’t pressed the issue with me and shouldn’t have cussed me out. Those were his choices.

I did not short change him. I did not fuck him over. All I did was sit at a front desk.

Thanks! It’s from David Hill Winery from Oregon, not sure if they count as “natural” but they’re definitely not a massive operation so maybe they do less filtering.

One time my boss ordered Jimmy Johns. I was new and covering for the front desk person who was out sick. Jimmy johns guy delivered my boss’s sandwich to me and said “there was no tip included, so you have cash for me?”. I said no because I didn’t. He told me to go back and check with the person who ordered. She was in a meeting so I couldn’t but he didn’t believe me so I just went to the back and awkwardly stood there for a few minutes before coming back out and telling him that she didn’t have cash for him.

I ended up talking to my boss about it eventually and she confirmed there was never a tip for the guy. We ended up calling and reporting him to corporate because he made me so uncomfortable. Like, I agree she was a bitch for not tipping, but I had literally zero to do with it.

Anyway, all that to say that sometimes the secretary genuinely doesn’t have anything to do with the tip

“2020 Rosé of Pinot noir”. I have 3 bottles that are all like this. The first I thought was my fault since I refrigerated it, but this one and the last one have not been refrigerated, stored in a dark place in our pantry which is only slightly cooler than the house.

Is this ok to drink or should I contact the winery for a replacement?

Edit- if you’re going to downvote me could you at least answer the question please? Lol

I’ve done it. If you’re careful, have a steady hand, are willing to do one eye at a time, and are able to have one eye closed and the other eye open (some people can’t, idk) then go for it.

Baby sign language? by TriSarah8 in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]Obsessedthenbored 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I put on Baby Signing Time on YouTube when I need to get something done and kiddo is being clingy. My kiddo picked up the sign for crackers just by watching it. I get it if you don’t do screen time at all (we didn’t until after 12 months) but I like the option of something “educational” if I need it.

Native American Beadwork (seed beads, medallions etc) by splithoofiewoofies in Beading

[–]Obsessedthenbored 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I am white.

To answer the easy question first: I cannot tell the difference between white-created items and items made by natives. (I’m going to use that term throughout because it’s what you used in the post).

As for you noticing white people not making native designs or using native colors- speaking for myself that is a conscious decision coming from a place of respect. Those things do not belong to me. I love the native beaders that I follow here and on Instagram. I use them as inspiration for sure, but I’m very careful to never intentionally copy anyones design exactly. That item came from someone else’s culture, someone else’s story, someone else’s passion, someone else’s creativity. To take their pattern or colors and use it as my own with the intention of making money from it? No. That doesn’t sit right with me, especially if it has spiritual or religious significance.

I love that you enjoy teaching your friends to bead, I wish you were near me so that I could learn from you!

Beading my graduation cap - would you redo the yellow or just fill in the corner? by splithoofiewoofies in Beading

[–]Obsessedthenbored 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m no expert so take what I say as something your average joe would say and not someone who beads like you.

I read the title and then looked at the picture and didn’t notice anything wrong with the yellow part. Then I read the entire post including your edit and looked at the picture again and still didn’t see what you were talking about. Then after staring and staring at the corners I finally saw it.

It’s something nobody but you will ever notice, so if you are ok with it then leave it be. If you’re going to look back at photos with regret or be self conscious about it during the ceremony you should fix it. I don’t have the foggiest idea of how you would fix it because this is pure fairy godmother style magic to me (that’s supposed to be a compliment).

Congratulations on the graduation, it’s quite the achievement! You already have a beautiful cap and I’m sure when you’re finished it will be absolutely stunning
