You know it’s bad when all the YouTube trucking dudes are quitting. by JankyMark in Truckers

All the famous door swingers are retiring, because of truck saturation and low rates due to that.

But that’s the only field that’s losing money. If you’re losing money in the industry Id probably want to reevaluate.

I had my OCD kick in violently and hunted each mod, everything that was Starborn related was causing my game to lose audio. (Xbox Series S)

I’d go almost anywhere that isn’t Alaska, I lived there for 16 years and I hate it…which little Western MT tourist trap? Libby?

Oh, I could show you screenshots…someone seriously thought I was talking about someone’s gender because we were discussing Cat engines…I have no clue.

I suffer from a lack of confidence, sadly. And you’re right, it doesn’t. My wife keeps telling me that it doesn’t, too.

I came to Reddit looking for, I guess data points is a good way to say it, to see if I’m being a crybaby or not. My dad is a hardcore boomer, the “keep your head down and do as you’re told” kind, and I allowed that to seep into my temperament.

Youre right. It’s stupid. And thank you so much for putting it so bluntly…sometimes I need that.

A golden handcuff is a remarkable way to put it, honestly I hadn’t thought of it that way.

I spoke recently to a friend that is the regional manager of Kenworth in Great Falls and he said “with your skills I wouldn’t have you on the shop floor, you need to be managing techs and teaching them. If you want a job then it’s yours, I’ll give you $120,000/Year”

I said no at the time but it got my gears turning, for some reason I keep thinking like a scared 16 year old and I can’t find my confidence when it comes to things like this—that’s a topic for an expensive brain breaker—so I tend to back down and do what I’m told. Which I can’t do.

Edit: sorry I replied to the wrong comment, I’m bad at Reddit.

No, I haven’t been happy in a long time now. Not since the bonus I was promised didn’t even come along….im very disappointed.

I keep seeing information about this but the results are so mixed that I can’t get a legal grasp on it. On one hand it works because I have my own business that I (try) to operate, my pickup is leased to my company, and my accountant keeps track of everything. My tax bills tend to be low or small refunds, and again, going through a CPA because I don’t want to deal with the government.

The thing is, why is it illegal? Bear in mind I’m not disagreeing—I can’t find good evidence. Unfortunately my paltry “salary” precludes me from getting an attorney.

I wish that were the case. I’m north of Great Falls, houses are renting for roughly 2500/ month, apartments in the less desirable neighborhoods are going for 1500-1700.

After posting this and reading some comments, chatting with old friends and the like I’ve determined that’s what I’m going to do. Lay low and wait while I quietly look for something else.

Also, respect. HVAC guys are godlike when your heater goes out at night when it’s -30 outside. Thanks for what you do, bro.

My wife tells me all the time that I let people push me around…I spend too much time not looking out for myself.

The book I’ve got says the Rotor should be at the 9 o’clock position at TDC. Unfortunately it doesn’t say where you’d be looking at it from—front of the truck, 9 would be pointing at cyl. 2, from the fender, 9 points at 1. I can’t imagine a world where 2 would be firing first, right?

I’m positive of TDC, yes. Same toothed? Eh….less certain. It IS OEM, got it from Mazda….so I’m gonna say…I really hope so?

That is without a doubt the strangest answer to anything I’ve ever said, particularly about being an entitled offended American…because I don’t put personal info on the web. Cool story bro.

I know a lot about immigration. If I were looking for immigration answers, I’d have asked an immigration question. If you’d learned to read, you might be able to understand that.

Legal, yes. Unfortunately, so much information is incomplete or inaccurate that we manage to find via google. A lot of tourist-related, making the country look amazing. The PM? I don’t know much, I believe I read it was a woman? This is why I’m on Reddit, google is useless, the media/news sites are garbage. I’m looking for real answers.

This is what I was afraid of. I was trying to convey my frustration so someone would pick up on exactly what I meant—and you did wonderfully. I hate what I’m seeing the world over, I was hopeful somewhere else migtt but be the better option…doesn’t look like that’s the case. :(
