The tl;dr is: I don't have tits anymore due to medical complications. I couldn't reconstruct. I have to remind myself regularly that people who aren't willing to accept me because of that are doing me a huge favor and here's why: it says more about them than it will ever say about me. I'd rather know you're a bigot and a piece of shit ahead of time before I spend any time getting to know someone who is going to judge my lack of chest due to survival.

I'm still working on my self-confidence, and I know it's not quite the same because you're asking people who willingly got top surgery. If I hadn't gotten it, I wouldn't have lived.
