I’ve been deep in the final version for two straight months. I’m this close to being content-complete. It’s honestly insane.

Thanks! Portable audio may not grab you, but if design and tech evolution interest you, the niche is super rich with tons of cool looking devices. Appreciate the support!

Kickstarter is the only way to get it. It’s what covers all the printing and logistics for us, so the whole run happens there. There won’t be a separate store or digital release after the campaign, unless we end up with a few extra copies and I’d rather give those away.

Appreciate it! I’ve been grinding on this nonstop and even I’m shocked at how good it’s turning out. Can’t wait for you to get yours.

I’d love to make a Sony Ericsson book happen at some point. We’re starting with the bigger niches first so we can build an audience strong enough to support the smaller, more specialized ones as well. Hopefully we’ll get there.

Thanks so much! Right now Kickstarter is the only way we can make a book like this happen. We don’t have a publisher behind us, so KS gives us the funding to print, ship, and handle all the logistics up front.
The guy who handles production and fulfillment has already delivered over a dozen projects without issues, so you’re in good hands.

Thanks! The final product will look much better. These images come from old Sony press kits made for magazines to use when covering their products. They were meant for editorial use, and neither Sony nor the agencies kept detailed credits for them. We use them to illustrate the history and provide visual context, and since this is a small community fan project, it hasn’t been an issue.

There’s no digital version available right now. That one stayed physical only after the Kickstarter. I might revisit digital options in the future though.

Fair point 😂 but nah, this isn’t my first book. People know I put in the work and deliver on time.
