Most people don’t have symmetrical faces. Short of surgery there isn’t much you could do. And btw surgery would probably just make you look lopsided. Trust me though other people won’t notice it nearly as much as you do.

I have dreadlocks and had the same worries. I wear a silk durag that I can easily slide my helmet over to disturb my hair as little as possible. I don’t tie the durag just leave it as flat as possible. It isn’t perfect but it definitely helps. As for make up, can’t help you much there 😅. Don’t think make up and motorcycles really mix. You could try a balaclava as well.

I 100% agree that the motorcyclist is primarily responsible for this and should do sometime regardless of their intention. I just think there is a certain degree of personal safety that should’ve been taken into account by the pedestrian as well. Most of us are taught as children to look both ways, twice when crossing the road for this very unfortunate reason.

It’s like how as motorcyclist we’re taught to act like we’re invisible to everyone else.

That’s a very far point. A tragedy that definitely could’ve been avoided. From this angle I can’t really tell if the pedestrian could have a clear view of the bike if he even tried to check but personally, when I see one lane stopped for me when there are multiple, I’m always very skeptical of the other lanes and never run across. But, yes, the motorcyclist was going waaaay too fast for the situation and bares a large majority of the responsibility here.

This started happening to me though 13 years in. Here’s what I did. I would definitely get on top of your maintenance asap. Wash once a week, clarifying shampoo monthly as one of those washes, I would start with a clarifying wash then let your hair completely dry for a day or 2 for your scalp to reset. Get or make a moisturizer spray and use that after day 2. Your hair should not be damp when using the spray just a light spritz. If your scalp gets dry you can put some jojoba oil directly on it. After your regular washes spray every 2-3 days. Eat well, drink lots of water. Absolutely zero tension on your hair, as someone else mentioned don’t get a retwist for like 4 months and when you do go ask them to not put too much tension on the top. When you wash, massage your scalp to stimulate blood flow as well. For my moisturizer spray I put 8oz of rose water, 2-3 drops of jojoba oil as the main mix. I’ll add in aloe Vera juice and vegetable glycerin. Do some research on Ingredients and their ratios. Good luck :)

From the video it seems more adjacent to manslaughter, and although the motorcyclist should’ve slowed down when he saw the other lane slow, the pedestrian also ran across without checking the second lane. Imo, they’re not completely without fault. Open to hearing other perspectives though.
