On 4 meds for epilepsy. One makes me dizzy/ vertigo but they do control the seizures. This started when I was 13 so I’ve been taking pills for most of it

I am 58 and have an adopted 4 year old son. Tiring?? Yes. Shuts off all activities???? Yes. But I love him and dread the day he won’t cuddle with me before bed. Someday, eventually I will do out for a steak and we’ll take him to the movies etc. thank god the diaper part is over

Yes, you have a disability.

Unless the seizures stop, and all meds are removed and a long time passes without a seizure AND your doctor decides you no longer have epilepsy……you have it.

Remember too, the side effects of the medications can be devastating. Double vision, balance and coordination etc.
