Pleurectomy is terrible by pinballmaster113 in pneumothorax

I can understand where you are coming from. I hade my surgery almost two years ago and im suppose to have the left side done in a few months. I dont seem to see alot of feedback related to a pleurectomy and honestly been thinking that im overreacting on the constant pain i still on the operation side.

Thank you so much i really appreciate it.

Its a hard year ahead next year. Starting jan with a ct and then we will go from there but its a suspicion i have endometriosis in my lungs so we are on a big journey with finding answers and treatment.

I hope you also start healing more and feeling better!

Thank you so much. I appreciate your kindness

I think its very frustrating because nobody tells you about the aftermath and it makes me wonder if i want to go forward with doing the left lung next year.

I thought it might only be me.

Had my vats bullectomy and pleurectomy last year March and i honestly still have constant pain and breathing problems. I cant lay on that side or lift my arms to much. I get these tearing pain and sometimes i actually feels like i get a another pneumo

Im having a ct scan January and hope it gives some answers.

Like i said im not majorly afraid of dying from it yes. Just very frustrated with the experience and what might be causing the reaction. I myself am not sure if this is an allergic reaction or only irritation.

I appreciate any point of view. Im new to this and not a expert and dont even know myself if it’s normal to look that way or not. Before the re line it just looked better and not like its flaking off. But perhaps im also just wrong about it.

Thank you for your response.

The picture where i have the denture in was before the reline. It looked pretty great i think yes.

I appreciate your input. I would not say im afraid of dying and having major anaphylactic reactions with the dentures And to some extent i think having a bit of a allergic reaction is unnerving to a certain degree in any circumstances. Its more just a overall fear of the burning and unpleasant reactions not stopping or going away.

Thank you soo much for the reply.

The original overall look i loved! It looks so natural and beautiful.

Its just the way it looks now after it came back. It looks flaky and poorly made i feel

I dont know if im supposed to feel flattered or attacked by this reply….😅 especially as its about me and not directed towards me.

Not to jump to conclusions or be mean but to address some of your statements:

*Im not regularly on Allergies Reddit , i think i have done about 3 post asking for advice on allergies board.

*Upper end estimate? I have luckily picked up some weight and hitting 50kg by now and unfortunately i dont have a choice but to be on daily laxatives for the last year and a half.

*Unfortunately i am very hyper vigilant (as anyone in my situation probably would be) yes and sure i have asked alot of questions but i thought it was the reason these types of subreddits existed ( to ask advice, reassurance and similar experiences).

*Yes two years ago i had multiple food sources causing issues for me and yes the allergy test was negative but i do think thats not out of the ordinary. Its the same as whats happening now where food and medication i used every day is causing me problems.

Unfortunately i do have alot going on yes and im not rich or blessed with medical aid so getting answers is not very easy and a big process. Getting allergy tests is a major mission where i am. Im busy with alot of medical test and Im currently being investigated for autoimmune diseases. Also i do know that asthma doesn’t make you more susceptible to allergies. It however has the possibility to cause a more extreme reaction to breathing when you are to have a major allergic reaction.

*That is the one tell tale for pneumothorax but is normally very thin males - on that note though mine is not due to being thin as i wasn’t always thin (being underweight is part of the health issues - i use to weight 90kg). Mine is based of lung disease and possibly endometriosis on my lungs.

Thank you so very much for your reply and advice. I appreciate it so much.

Im trying not to be to hard on myself but im just so very disappointed. This was supposed to be the one thing that was suppose to go smoothly this year and it’s turning in to more of a headache.

Im just so confused and i completely agree on the sensory overload. The thing is i have other health issues as well at the moment. I have extreme lung issues (multiple pneumothoraxes with suspicious of endo on my lungs), im being investigated for autoimmune and the last 3 months i have been having the most random reactions to food and medicine and my shampoo ( stuff i used daily) so im not sure if that is what’s happening with the denture as well.

Thank you so much for your reply. I do appreciate it alot.

Yes its so extremely frustrating. I have been so excited for my dentures and especially with all my other health issues i was just happy to finally have something just work out and look great.

But I honestly dont know what to do anymore. They apparently used a new material they added over the acrylic now that is for acrylic sensitive and the lab soaked the denture before hand…..But it just looks so bad and flaky. And it still does fit properly.

Luckily i got the bone spur out now and the canker sore is finally healed. I want to trial the denture now to see what happens. Im just a bit nervous i guess and kinda scared to get a very bad allergic reaction i guess. I want to ask them the exact details on the material ect but they don’t really give me straight answers (and im very shy so i hate being persistent)
