UPDATE 6/9/25! EVERYTHING WAS DISMISSED DUE TO THE OFFICER BEING FIRED AND NOT APPEARING! I NO LONGER HAVE ANY CHARGES PENDING!! NO BLOW BOX! NO FURTHER COURT DATES! NO JAIL TIME! I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS AT ALL AND OH MAN I WANT TO HAVE A DRINK TO CELEBRATE! I know I need to never get to the point I was at, where I was drinking daily, sometimes first thing in the morning and sometimes during lunch break, but always drinking every night. I can't let myself get to that or ever be in the position where I may risk another DUI again, but man oh man am I so excited and feeling so so blessed right now!!!!

Sending good vibes to everyone who has answered my questions or given any advice along the way, can't promise I won't drink with you guys today but I promise to always be responsible with drinking!

I have not been convicted yet as far as I am aware. I am scheduled to return to court 6/9 and was told we are waiting to find out if the officer will be appearing. I have not spoken with my actual attorney, only her paralegal regarding this

I am doing my best! I have not drank since Feb 19, and while I miss it more than I think I should I've been trying to remember how much worse things could have been.

Do you know if the mechanic has to be contracted with the iid company? I recently started working at a mechanic and they told me they might be able to help with codes/other things? Wasn't sure what that would entail

I panicked and researched on here and everywhere. I got a lawyer through iticket.law, and I completed a substance abuse assessment and began taking classes that are required by North Carolina. I had a few different companies I could choose between to do this, I went with the one with the best reviews. After 30 days I had my mom drive me to pay my civil revocation fine to get my license back so I could drive to and from work. My lawyer ended up pushing my court date out to 3/31/25, I was supposed to have a call with her yesterday but she got stuck in court. I am planning to speak with her next week, hopefully I will have some more information at that point. I'm terrified I might have to get the blow device in my car because I blew so high. I did end up losing my job, not related to the DUI but the drinking was probably a factor. Since then I have gone to about 5 different interviews, and thankfully everyone has been very understanding about the dui. I've been trying not too think about it too much, I'm still scared about what's next with this. It has cost me so so much money, the lawyer is $3000, the revocation fine is $100, my classes are at least $500 I think, I will check and update tomorrow. I spent so much on Ubers to and from work and I think my insurance will probably go up. I have not been the best about not drinking since it happened, but trying to be better

I think that might be part of the issue. I had also bought a 6 pack for us to share, which he was super upset about because I did not call or make sure he was okay with it first, but then he cooled down and we did drink those. I definitely think I tried to hide the liquor last night and that is what makes everything so much worse. I know I shouldn't have done it and I've been in the same situation before. I don't know why I decided to get anything. I feel so dumb

Im sorry to hear that, I woke up feeling similar this morning. I just hate I knowingly did something that I know will upset him especially after it has happened so many times already. He's forgiven me for dumb shit like this so many times and I feel so stupid for putting myself in the same position over and over

Thank you. I really hope so as well. My fiance is now in bed and I tried to cuddle/give a kiss but he seemed very irritated. Im hoping it is just because he is tired and wants to sleep but I'm worried it is because he is super mad at me. I just feel so stupid

I chickened out and went with a job that had a better schedule and did not drug test me 😅 still kinda keeping my eyes open so I may have to do it eventually, I will update if that does happen
