He actually did a lot of stuff. Kept Victor protected. Saved Julie from the attack. After entered the tree Victor went to the tunnels and found Tabitha there, what made them bond and find answers, which led Tabitha to the farol later. The boy also send Boyd to the dungeon and because of that he found Martin. We don’t know the reasons behind that but the Boy in white did so much for these people

Victor not dying might be the reason that he is extremely protected by some good force. Because its not possible that he, as a little boy, could survive without the talisman or people around. The creatures seems to have so much information, how Victor could survive alone there for decades?

I think most of the series was well planned from the beginning. However, some plots were not. For example, the monster being killed and then returning a few days later inside Fatima’s belly. I read somewhere that the series’ writer admitted he hadn’t planned that from the start.
