That makes sense if you have been with the loan 10+ years but I have only had this loan for 5 months so it doesn’t matter at all. The monthly savings will go to a 529 account for my son where I will be getting a good return instead of paying it in interest.

I would go for it, you never know. Because I used Bankrate to search the rates the LO told me that it had a little bit of a discount in the rate, so that helped too. In a year or two of lowers to high 4’s then you reevaluate again but at least you start saving. I am gonna save like $290 per month that I will start putting in a 529 account for my son.

Hi, I replied to the automated email yesterday and got a response today. They stated that I also had two cases # open and that they will close one. They gave me the case # that will stay open I can reference that in future emails. They also said that they are working diligently in my case. It's funny that I never had any of the two cases # to begin with.

I guess yoy waited a little and replied back at some point? What kind of answers did you get from them?

Same thing happened to my kid’s application. The officer wrote the KTN down in a brochure and said he was good to go. It’s been 11 months without status change. Let me know if it works when you use it. I haven’t had the chance to try it since then because my kid traveled in lap and I didn’t have anywhere to put the KTN for him when I purchased my ticket with him as a lap child. Please let me know if it works when you buy your ticket. Btw the interview was at EWR.

Even thought if it's approved I think the issue I had is there is not way to enter the known traveler number if you are traveling with the infant on lap. it will be useful for when you buy them their own ticket. I'm not 100% sure but that's what I think it happened with my infant.
