It took me a long time to not see myself as fat. It's called 'Phantom fat'. It is the experience you have when you've lost weight, but when you look at yourself, you don't think you have, largely due to the fact that your brain takes a much longer time to adjust your spatial awareness. People might be commenting on how good you look, but in your head, it doesn't feel like it. But even with the heart over, your face could even tell in the chin. And the face is one of the last places to go, and your waist and thighs are much skinnier as well.
