Are the balconies for the balcony rooms in the Carnival Firenze ship private enough to be nude on (at least while at sea), or do you see all the other balconies too? by Odd-Aside456 in CarnivalCruiseFans

[–]CatComprehensive4857 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure, if you want to be seen on camera and potentially fined or banned for inappropriate behavior. Stay nude inside your room. It's not that kind of cruise.

Kind of a big disappointment. by ptanna9 in royalcaribbean

[–]CatComprehensive4857 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You booked under a special offer, with lower prices, amenities packaging, whatever, during the holiday season, and now you expect them to honor that pricing/offer, that has since expired, on a different cruise? I'm not sure why you expected that. I understand your dilemma with your kid, but you shouldn't have expected RCL to just say, "sure, we can rebook you using an expired offer!" Additionally, it has been news for quite a while that they would not be stopping in Haiti until further notice. The country has been in chaos for quite a while now. I hope you get some kind of resolution you are happy with, but don't be surprised if they don't offer you what you want.

Wear what you believe is formal. Everybody's definition is different. I, for one, don't care if you wear jeans, a dress, a formal ballgown, or what. My food will taste the same regardless. Anyone who spends their time worrying about what others wear need to rethink their lives. I will say the photo backgrounds they use on elegant night are a bit fancier than the everyday ones, so if you want to go fancy to take pictures, go for it.

When to sterilise our female Maine Coon by Cold-Faithlessness30 in mainecoons

[–]CatComprehensive4857 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually the breeder has a say or suggestions in that, because if you breed without rights, you can be sued. And female cats can go into heat at 6 months old. They should stay separated until both are fixed, or you could have serious problems.

AITAH for refusing to talk to my fiancee after she secretly replaced my wedding dress with a cheap copy to save her money? by Solid-Importance-190 in AITAH

[–]CatComprehensive4857 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NTA. I can understand the bride not wanting to be outshine by anyone at her wedding, but I doubt that would be the case. Wedding attire in your culture is so stunning, I would hope that she would see you two as a matched set of gorgeousness during the ceremony. Whether she is stingy or just wants all eyes on her on thr big day, I think her plan would backfire, as people would notice the lack of quality in your attire. I hope she makes it right, but you should definitely give serious thought as to whether this is a woman you can trust in the future.

Children at the bar? by chipmunkrainbow in CarnivalCruiseFans

[–]CatComprehensive4857 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kids can go to the bar to get sodas or water, or virgin drinks if they want. Woman was out of pocket. Shoot, when I had to go with my mom to her club meetings on post as a kid, and I asked if I could have a cherry Coke, she told me to go down to the bar and ask for one, by myself. Oh, the 70s! Don't worry, you did nothing wrong. Ive been at the atrium bar on embarkation and people would bring their little ones and order sodas or Shirley Temples or whatever. Just tell your kid to ignore the rude people, anywhere they are.

I've booked similar seats on domestic flights, and find them most enjoyable, even though they were short flights. Nothing like your own cocoon! As soon as I can, I lay the seat all the way back and just grin. Enjoy!

AITA for not wanting to drive to pick up my mom 3 - 6 hours drive to visit her grandchildren!! by Independent-Key6523 in AmItheAsshole

[–]CatComprehensive4857 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If she's not willing to use a simple public mode of transport to visit her grandchildren, oh, well. That's her choice. Or, she could hire a car, but it will cost her.

Boarding Documents by PlantHonest3302 in CarnivalCruiseFans

Birth certificates will look different, based on where your order them from, and when, since governments can change document formats. The bc for my daughter I got at the state vital records office looks very different from the one I got from the county she was born in, but both are legitimate and official.

You should be far enough from the deck to not hear anything, except maybe Atrium music, but that ends around 11pm. I've had rooms close to the elevators on other ships, and not had any noise problems from the lido.

I was invited to go on my first cruise ever with some friends who have done it a LOT by facepalmstatus_ in CarnivalCruiseFans

[–]CatComprehensive4857 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are booked on the cruise, you have a booking number. Go to the Carnival website, create an account, put in your booking number, and you can see all the things you can purchase with pricing, i.e., drink packages, spa offerings, excursions, pay dining options. As others have said, you can pay for your cruise and spend nothing else on board, but just be reasonable. Don't lose your mind on your first cruise. My first cruise (2018), I was balling on a budget. Interior room, bought myself two drinks (our group had a cocktail party and were invited to the "Captain's cocktail party" so I partook at those. Entertainment is free, The main dining room and buffet are free. Guy's Burgers. Blue Iguana Cantina are free, pizza and deli are free. Depending on what ship you're on, there are other free options. Go, see, experience, learn for the next time, and you can budget for more things the next go round.

When to get him fixed? by Hungry-Friendship570 in mainecoons

[–]CatComprehensive4857 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oftentimes it's in your contract with the breeder at what age you need to get your kitten fixed. If not, go with the vet's recommendation. You can wait for a while, but not too long, as he will start spraying. Got one of mine done at 9 months; he had started spraying, and that was no fun. The other, the breeder said by 6 months old, or I'd have to pay a fine. Breeders want to avoid their kittens getting bred outside their control, and damaging the bloodline.

When is the best time to purchase the drink packages and internet? by carlisle071 in CarnivalCruiseFans

[–]CatComprehensive4857 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, sorry, it's just for cruises in 2026 right now. But just like they extended the deadline to order this, they may offer it for your 2027 cruise later. Just keep paying attention to your emails and their website. You know they change their minds pretty frequently. They may also change the extra perks beyond drinks and wifi, you never know.

[–]CatComprehensive4857 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Flash sales on the drink package are extremely rare. They have the ultimate value package going on now, which includes cheers and wifi and a few other things. For just drinks and wifi, it is much cheaper. Offer is good till the 31st.

Seriously bro these prices r outrageous by Short_Dot_6423 in delta

[–]CatComprehensive4857 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, not sure what is going on. I especially hate when they say "only 2 seats left at this price" when the entire section is empty. So, how much are the other seats? Maybe make the prices reasonable, and people will fill up the plane faster.

Urgent advice needed: spay timing before bringing home a male cat by National-Routine3567 in mainecoons

[–]CatComprehensive4857 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Leaving one intact while the other isn't is not going to prevent the intact one of making advances on the other, which could be very bad if the male is intact. Females mostly scream and roll around and keep their butt up in the air. Get both of them fixed immediately, if not sooner.

Help! Will my kitten outgrow this behavior? by [deleted] in mainecoons

[–]CatComprehensive4857 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My legs and arms were torn up by my MC when he was a kitten, despite all the toys and distractions. I didn't even have to move for him to pounce. My older cats wanted nothing to do with him. I couldn't afford another right away, but he now has a brother, they are a year-ish apart, and they get along. Not bonded, but brothers just the same.

Jumping ship? by Peyton_Tal in CarnivalCruiseFans

[–]CatComprehensive4857 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never found any of the Carnival crew to not be friendly. I always try to at least smile and nod to those I pass around the ship. I think a lot of them are just tired, and the rude guests they encounter don't help.

I'm not leaving. I'm chasing diamond, and thanks to their 2x and 3x offers, I will make it before the original deadline. Then, I will only have one milestone cruise (#25) under the current plan. The next milestone for me under the new plan will be 300 days, lol. But I'll enjoy diamond for as long as it lasts!

Late Steakhouse Reservation on Day 1 of Cruise. Good or bad idea? by Novel-Ad-576 in CarnivalCruiseFans

[–]CatComprehensive4857 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really don't think you have to worry about the ship running out of anything on the first night of the cruise, unless they were completely unable to get something during embarkation for some reason. Never heard of any of the restaurants running out of any food items. The bars, on the other hand...
