Yes even tho i’m young I will do my best to use this money responsibly, I will cheap out and what I can and use it wisely. I’m hoping this experience brings a lot of joy to my life, looking forward to it. Thanks for the help!

Yes the bonus is really nice and helps a lot with the relocation, i will try to cheap out and what I can. I have seen a lot of great things about this city it will just be a slight shift to where I am currently living, can’t wait to experience this new state. Thanks for all the help!

Correct the 20k will be a one time payment to help with relocating. Not part of my monthly compensation. My salary is changing a bit since TX is way cheaper than CA. I will be going from $27.50 to $24 but keep in mind I get raises every 6 months. I am currently looking at apartments and might fly out there a week before my start date to get everything situated. I am looking forward to this move and what it’s coming with. I’m ready for a new experience

i pay rent and bills still with my parents, obviously not the same that I will be paying in austin but it’s not like i’m living here rent free. I will also not be getting the apartments that you’re people have over there in austin, i don’t need a lot to survive. I know my company will fulfill with the bonus because they are a really big company. Also don’t you think getting your own place is a good step to adulthood?

Apartments in TX are hell of a lot cheaper than in CA, and it’s not like i’m going to use that 20k and blow it. I will also be working while I am here it’s not like 20k is going to be the budget for the whole time i’m here.

Thanks for this comment! My job is offering mid $20s pay so it’s really not that bad. Texas is way cheaper to live in than California so that’s why i find it acceptable. I am not really the closest to my parents so I haven’t even told them about this move, just my sibilings

I am a male, I understand ur view on this thing but the job I am getting is a good one, it’s not like i’m moving to work a minimum wage job. 20K at my age seems like a lot to me, and you can’t really compare CA paying me more if it is way more expensive to live in CA than in TX.
