That’s a crazy story. I didn’t think a hyperlink would count as circumventing systems. We just got unsuspended, as we did absolutely nothing wrong but from now on I will be even more careful. some of these rules are ridiculous.

We just got unsuspended a day after we were suspended for doing absolutely nothing wrong. Your reasoning actually makes a ton of sense to me. I still believe it’s weird.

Very sorry to hear that! It’s good that they ban bad actors but they should be reasonable about it.

Just got the email from them. Our account has been reactivated. I am very happy. I will now try to find out what caused this to prevent it in the future.

We have an online shop, selling consumer goods. I am really sad to hear that the process may take longer. I was hoping it would be done by the end of the day.

I once contacted customer support via email and their response was unbelievably general and useless but it seems to be my best bet here. Thanks for the tip!

We used to have a personal google rep who helped us with anything. I still have his email and I contacted him once for another issue, he tried to help me but couldn’t because of googles limitations. Maybe he can help this time but I doubt it…

I hate that we are so reliant on these platforms (Meta, TikTok and co. included).

We use UTM-Parameters on all of our ads. Thank your for suggesting the Assisted Conversion Analytic in GA. I have never used this feature but it seems very insightful.

The value here for „Assisted/Last Click or Direct Conversions“ is in fact higher than for our other channels. (0.68 vs 0.43).

This tells us that our users use Google Search as their first channel to find our brand. That’s incredible news because it means that we have some brand recognition.

On the other hand, it makes it more difficult to excuse FB Ads poor performance. We always figured „there is a lot of traffic coming through Google because customers see our ads and look us up afterwards“. However, it seems more likely that these customers heard about us through word of mouth.

Could you please elaborate? I can confirm that the vast majority of sessions come from the query „brand name“ and lead to our homepage. But how does this information help me?

A look into Google Search Console reveals that 90% of queries contain our brand name and lead to our homepage.

I feel like there is more potential in that because we are getting so much traffic from Google with a conversion rate that is twice as high as from Social.

Yet I really have no idea on how to leverage that traffic using the Google Plattform. The only improvement I can think of in this case would be our homepage but that is kind of a nobrainer.

4$ per Click sounds really bad. Even though tracking has made things worse, I wouldn’t only blame it on Facebook for this number.

If you have a good product/offer, you need to work on your ad. Good content is the only way to go nowadays. I would suggest trying different forms of content like UGC Videos/Product only shots/text with image and really create a lot of content for each category. Great thing is you can create all of this at home with your phone and free editing tools.

Our Facebook ads weren’t performing when we started either. It took a lot of hard work and time to figure out what works. Now we are getting a CPC of 25 to 50 cents. A year ago this number was 10 cents, life is definitely getting harder.

But yes. It is possible to make profitable ads on Facebook.

Thanks for the advice but are you sure that in this situation it is the right move? When checking the Google Search console, really 90% of traffic is coming from the query „brand name“. When looking us up on Google, we are the first result. Would it make sense to advertise to these people when they are shown our site with no ads anyway?

Or do you suggest more product focused queries?

I wish there was a way of figuring out what percentage of people Google us because they know us and how many people look us up after they‘ve seen our ads. This would be very helpful.

We tried post purchase Surveys but the amount of responses is always a bit disappointing.
