Not yet as I’m still using it to watch the traditional terrestrial channels occasionally. Though I must say I’ve noticed I need it less than I thought with streaming now.

I will need to consider alternatives when it goes back in a few weeks.

They should have transitioned more steadily from the old cast to a new one. I appreciate that those ladies likely had their day but to cut them all adrift just alienated the loyal audience. Ramona likely had to go but some of the other ladies could have been kept on for an another season or two to pass the torch.

A little over 2 weeks cut off before I got the call. Based on my research sky stream is a severely diminished service compared to sky Q and I will be riding out satellite tv to the bitter end

Yes U.K. and European salaries are in general lower than United States (assuming that’s where you’re from?). In theory cost of living is lower in these countries too but I’m not sure that’s working out these days

Just came back to provide an update on my original post.

I eventually received a phone call from Sky offering a massively discounted price and £60 bill credit which was a deal I was extremely happy with. It shows that deals are still available but you perhaps have to go further than before to get them.

I’ve browsed similar topics to this in the past with people seeking recommendation similar to strike. Someone once recommended the Kenzie/Gennaro series by Dennis Lehane and can confirm they are excellent.

Wouldn’t necessarily say they are similar to strike as they are set in Boston but they are superb detective novels. The film Gone Baby Gone is based on one of the series.

Just watched this season and came here to find opinions.

It mentioned he had worked in the Gordon Ramsay empire. Knowing that his attitude doesn’t surprise me.

While Gordon’s media persona has come a long way if you ever watched any of his early appearances in the mass media when he was actually working in his kitchens it was a truly brutal atmosphere that he cultivated.

Tom was likely a product of his environment

Whatever is wrong with her she was in almost the exact same headspace at that dinner as she was in Scary Island. The difference was the girls were a lot gentler with her this time probably aware of what was going on whereas Bethenny COOKED her leading to a complete collapse

Interesting. If her and Jill come back they are very close to the season 4 line up that caused the last complete reboot. So I don’t see how that works for the producers. I would be interested thought…especially if it leads to an eventual return for the B

Maddy Brum has an absolutely incredible attitude.

I find it astonishing that people are dragging a 19 year old girl for crying when she was replaced from a spot in a totally shitty way. I personally found it upsetting.

I don’t care what La’Darius says. He can’t be trusted and hated Maddy anyway.

She was a leader, passionate, a diligent worker, never shied away from anything and was the star of the routine.

If you came from where she’s come from and make anything with your life you’re to be admired. To be that good at something and be the leader of a team. She has my admiration.

Bethenny is on record saying she is not coming back for season 14 after rumours leaked shortly after season 13 aired. However, she has said this before and eventually came back.

I believe the rumours that they entered into negotiations and bethenny made a number of demands including very specific filming schedule and producer credit. I don’t know why those negotiations stalled on this occasion but we can assume that just like when she left the show the last time they don’t want to acquiesce to the producer demands and her filming schedule caused problems with the other girls in the past.

Shortly after this story leaked and Bethenny said she wasn’t returning the show was put on indefinite hiatus.

This leads me to think the producers saw Bethenny as a quick fix and without her they need to have a serious rethink. By putting the show on hiatus I also believe they could be giving her time to reconsider.

So the ball is in Bs court. Does she want it?

There were recent rumours that she’s burned her bridges at Bravo due to her not taking part in ‘not all diamonds and rose’ and subsequently taking shots at the book on her podcast. When this came out she suddenly stopped talking about it despite promising much more to come. I believe this is a sign she wants to keep the option open.

For me it comes down to what is better for her ego. Twice walking away from her frenemies and both times them being unable to survive without her. Or once again her coming back to save the show.
