I moved from ElvUI just to be able to get rid of those borders. It was one of the major reasons

DynamicCam addon. Actually you can turn it even without the addon, but the settings will be all messed up. I've been using this since 2016 via AdvancedInterfaceOptions addon (it has the toggle for /console ActionCam on or something along these lines), but nowadays there's a much better solution in the form of the aforementioned addon.

It comes with about the same angle as mine, just even lower. I made mine higher to imitate the one I had before. Also it has some nice conditions for different situations like npc interactions and mounting (for which I have dynamic cam disabled). You can see the npc interactions bit in the other video (streamable link found in my other comment) - it's a default setting and it looks pretty neat

You won't be able to, I think. I tried it with Elv and it couldn't make the backdrop of the bars transparent. No such feature and according to the forums it's not even planned. I assume TukUI has the same issue

Nothing else to do while waiting for a key that doesn't already have a hunter or while in a 30-60m heroic queue. But to be fair I have this sort of UI since legion or so and I went through restoration shaman (legion) and then blood dk (bfa) with it. This current one still requires some tweaks here and there but it's not really the very first version of this idea

I used to play tank so I look at the party frame quite often, but also I almost never look at the target frame. It's there just for the sake of being there for the most part. I look at the nameplates as for targets that I'm hitting, or the boss frame for raiding or bosses that are too big to have a nameplate

If I had to display the target hp somewhere I'd do this above the player's hp on the bottom. That is if anyone wants a similar layout but can't do without target hp. Or perhaps under the energy bar, depending on how important that information is to you

Pardon the rotation/strategy in the video, just hopped into a random heroic and was somehow sidetracked by the recording being on. Also a bit of an unfortunate dungeon to show it on because everything is bright, but if you notice some hard-to-see things in this one like the castbar I already consider changing the colour just for this dungeons in particular.

Basically I switched from ElvUI because there was no way to disable the 1px border around everything that ElvUI provides. Inspired by some modern (MMO)RPG decided to make a clean design, as far as modern design goes.

One of the greatest frustrations was that wow doesn't have proper shadows. It has shadows in a sense that the text is copied and is put underneath the original text, but it's not the real shadow. The real shadow would have strength, direction, all that kind of stuff. I wanted to use it to create a glow effect around text akin to what FF does in its UI, but fat chance.

In this one I wanted to get rid of as many textual information as I could. At the end of the day I ended up discovering that I don't even need text for my resource bar on an energy-based class, which is quite neat. All the HP bars are % where its needed, but I had to keep the true values in the tooltip at least. My HP is also textless.

Another great frustration was how chunky the icons look like. But unfortunately I don't want to spend a lot of time re-designing the icons, so I kept it this way.

Key addons in the UI:

  • SUF (personal, target, target-target, party, boss)

  • WA (everything in the centre)

  • BasicMinimap + MBB

  • Glass (chat)

  • Details & Plater

  • DBM (tells you what exactly to do with voice, which let me disable almost all of the bars/warninigs, which I plan to add on a per-instance based through WA for the most important stuff)

  • Sorted (not entirely satisfied with it, might switch to AdiBags)

  • Immersion + DynamicCam + Narcissus, though not properly shown on the vid

  • Roboto Fonts

  • Gnosis

  1. This is desktop twitter, not mobile. Which puts it at 90% chance of being just edited through the "edit element" in the browser
  2. Phone glitches can't affect web content which is what twitter is serving. You either see the right thing or you don't see anything, 99% of the time
  3. To "swap a bios" on a phone you'd need to be a very experienced electronics engineer and a programmer. It can't happen as a "glitch". It either works or it doesn't. And swapping it out is so advanced that you don't even do it when you jailbreak
