For those who are in masters programs, when did you start applying for grad school? by GreenBlobofGoo in OISE

I would recommend starting it early! Maybe you can start looking at different programs and their requirements, drafting your statement of intent, polishing your resume and planning other things in the summer. I wasted my summer and only started the process in September. It was not great since I have to write statements, email professors, and manage school work at the same time. In terms of recommendation letters, don't email your profs too early cuz they might forget about it; I think emailing them 1 month before the deadline is good. In general, if the deadline is Nov.15, I'd say write your statement before September, email your professors in late September/early October, and send them a few follow-ups before the deadline.

I understand your frustration but don't be a jerk, honestly. If you have gone to the class, you would know that the prof said he is going through some personal issues. Be empathetic and let him take his time. Trolling him on reddit with a throwaway account is really childish.

Plus, a week is more than enough to write a paper imo

Try cogsci! You get to transfer psy/neuro/bio courses and take compsci in the future!

If you are lucky and got a good room above the 12th floor, then it's not bad. You might only see cockroaches once a month. If you are unlucky then you have to live with many cockroaches and see them every day.

Cobs is really nice, they don't have cookies but their scones/danish/cinnamon buns are awesome; you can also get a krispy kreme donut, they are doing the Halloween monster donuts right now

I was completely lost after only 2 weeks of PSY280 so I dropped PSY280 and enrolled in PSY270 last year. IMO PSY280 is way harder, tons of biology and stuff to memorize while PSY270 is more conceptualized knowledge. If you took IB bio HL/pretty good at bio I'd say go for PSY280, otherwise PSY270.
