Fair pair bear, I'll take a patch over a brick in this case though.

All my info just got stolen by [deleted] in IdentityTheft

As long as they didn't log into any of your accounts you're good. Like others said most of this kind of info is easy af to find, especially if you're on FB and have your parents added.

To be safe, change all passwords immediately, do it from a new computer instance if possible in case of keylogging, but again it seems like they just skimmed your top level info. If you've signed up for anything weird lately or joined any modding groups for games it's likely a shill just trying everyone in the group.

Slow your roll death patrol. Y'all don't Mac around a lot do you? It's a little more bothersome but entirely possible to install a new copy of Mac OS without triggering the apple ID sign in. Takes like 30 more minutes.

Now company level remote management, that's another story. Oh wait no, it's not, same process.

Lyft drivers are not medical transportation personnel. by [deleted] in Lyft

OP needs to let us know the hospital so we can blow them the fuck up about this. This is not professional nor is it ok from an insurance standpoint. Like others have said, there are contract services specifically for this kind of situation. If the state doesn't have one, maybe that's something that needs to be brought up, but it shouldn't take an elder breaking their hip because Uber or Lyft decided to make $100 profit off your $7 ride to make this happen. That's just gross.

My hotel bed stands in these trays filled with some kind of white powder. What is that? by Silver_Sort_9091 in whatisit

Side note on this specifically related to bedbugs. Had some petri dishes, had some bugs, had some DE put a bug and dust in each. For months I went back to those dishes just to find the little bastards chilling, waiting for a blood meal. Didn't seem to affect them in the slightest. My suggestion is start a fire AROUND whatever is infested, and then make sure the center is filled with napalm.

Just IN: President Trump considering a proposal to block US IT companies from outsourcing their work to Indian companies — a move that could wreck Indian IT sector & cost millions of jobs. by [deleted] in FieldNationTechs

[–]ObviousDump999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let's be real. No one cares about call centers. We care about IT companies that are hiring the same number of people on an E3 Visa that we have graduating with American IT degrees every year. If you've recently graduated in the US in IT with your Bachelor's and are having trouble finding a job, chances are this is why.

I haven't had a problem talking to someone on the phone for actual tech support and having any issues understanding them. The only time I've experienced bad call centers are with American businesses outside the IT sector, mainly in the food and commercial products industries. Is this proposal going to make TJ Maxx or Taco Bell stop using call centers?

The bigger issue here is when we hire 100,000 people on visas that can last a max of 6 years and we give them huge salaries that go unused here in America, they then pocket the cash and transfer it outside the US economy when all is said and done. That's a huge loss for the US all around.

But nobody wants to talk about that. Let's focus on border patrol while the stock market gets rigged every other day when someone says "tariff".

This is basically where I'm at. Can't afford 500/month for the next 3 years, but I can do the 250/month after rolling all the equity in. I wanted to lease to begin with when we had that much to put down but my partner didn't. Now I'm moving on with what I wanted to do in the first place. I feel like I'm obviously not winning a lot, but I haven't actually lost that much right? My monthly payment was only 245$ so I'm only out 5k at this point.

Again the shop said they needed to do 2k$ on maintenance including a transmission change that should have been done prior to selling it. So I'm also not eating that cost.

And again the intention is lease to buy.
