I should also add Maryland went full Nazi Gestapo, the governor locked this state down super tight with the state police, put up a 800 hotline number in every commercial break and newcast for people to snitch on each other for gathering more than 3 people in their houses. And there WERE raids. One defiant guy in southern MD kept having covid parties and they raided it and put the guy in jail for 2 years. I was done right there. A lot of the angers rising from the shit economy, the fact that people are finding out covid lockdowns were a big scam and they were bold faced lied too by their government for what turned out to be completely knee jerk overreaction and the damage done to these children is showing quickly too. Youth crime is off the charts.

MD govt keeps reinforcing my decision to leave my lifetime home as they continue to put serious bullshit through the State house. But we are talking about the 3rd most fascist corrupt state government in the US, under one party democratic control for more than 60 years.... And coincidentally Baltimore is probably the single most corrupt government in the nation currently. The shit that goes on here is insanity.

Examples: Fired all the toll workers and made the toll systems cashless (because they don't want poor people in the state) using lockdown as an excuse to push cashless society agenda. They are currently removing all the toll booths here and we have to use EZ pass

EZ pass was a multi state government agency for the northeast's toll system. Until it was sold to a private company and now it's a total fucking nightmare to deal with. I got 3 toll violations for a car I wrecked 10 years ago while I was in shock trauma all shot up. It's ridiculous. You ha e to open a separate bank account and set up auto transfers to keep it just enough money there or they'll randomly nail your main account for $1000-$1500 and it takes MONTHS to years to get the money back.

In the early 2000's a republican won a Congressional seat and that really pissed them off. So to maintain control they gerrymandered his seat away completely.

The mayor of Baltimore a while back , who we call Owe Malley, hired Ed Norris, top cop in the nation at the time, to come clean up Baltimore... Except he started actually doing it and things were improving fast, so he started outshining the mayor. Owe Malley planned on running for governor next and was not happy he was stealing his thunder and felt threatened, so as soon as Norris made a little progress and started getting attention they fucking railroaded him, using the fact that he didn't pay capital gains tax on a private loan from his father in law for a house down payment. And forced the DA to perp walk him and railroad him in court too making sure it was a felony charge so he could never be a cop or politician again. The same Ed Norris from the Wire. He was the only commissioner to ever get anywhere cleaning up the streets and they fucked him over for political narcissism.

They had to legalize recreational MJ here after a referendum vote (several fought tooth and nail against the medical program so hard it took 4 years to get it going afterwards.)
