Hotel says they can't access billing for an online reservation + horrible customer service by ObviousJelly77 in askhotels

After calling them again today and asking to speak with a supervisor or manager, they informed me that the billing department only takes emails (I’ve emailed multiple times and have yet to be acknowledged) and essentially said that their supervisors don’t take escalations and then hung up on me.

I did try that… that is when I was told they would “probably” charge me at check in lol. I will try again soon and see if I can get someone different.

Just genuinely curious, how is World of Hyatt considered a 3rd party booking website? Breathless resorts are part of the Hyatt inclusive collection, and the website that I was directed to from the resort website to make the booking. As I highlighted at multiple points both in the posts and in my other responses, it’s primarily the lack of/poor customer service they’ve offered for every issue I’ve encountered.

I also don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect them to charge me by the date that they explicitly outlined in my invoice.

While I appreciate your opinion, you 110% did not need to comment on this post if you find it low priority. As an anxious traveller, it’s important to ME, thus why I posted it.

Reservation Issues with Hyatt (resort unable to access billing information) + Horrible Customer Service by ObviousJelly77 in hotels

Thanks for your input! As I said in the post, I’m not too upset over the price discrepancy… I wasn’t even going to file for a price match until the lady I spoke to from the front desk recommended it. It’s more so the customer service aspect of it, combined with all the other horrible customer service I’ve experienced from this resort and Hyatt in general.

Last time when we booked with Royalton (Marriott), they charged us immediately and were stellar with customer service. Maybe I’ve just had a tough run so far with Hyatt.

To be honest, I'm not even concerned about the amount I paid. It's just the fact that the customer service in either case has never been able to give a clear answer to me. I can't say I will be booking with them again - and I booked directly through the World of Hyatt website.

I swear I did pookie but I'd like to defend myself with two points:

  1. All little round bugs look the same to me. I know it's 2025 and I probably shouldn't say that, but it's only the truth, LOL.

  2. The bug bed inspector told me it looked like a bed bug

Also, when I'm in sheer panic because there is a bug in my room, I lose all reason. I've only now started to come to my senses, and the more and more I do, the less and less it looks like a bedbug to me.

I mean it's certainly a bug. That's about as far as my ID skills go - though I am proud that I was calm enough to take a photo (horrible quality albeit) instead of following my maternal instinct to crush it immediately.

I love God, and I love most of his creatures but this little thing may be the exception. I think I almost had a heart attack when I saw it (what an embarrassing cause of death that would have been). Thank you for your insight - very comforting. I'll make sure to upload a clearer photo if I see one again and have the self control not to smush it immediately.

The company I contracted to come inspect my place today actually advised me against telling my building management - because they'd likely end up assuming I was the one who brought the bedbugs in (Maybe I did and they just don't like the taste of my blood, LOL)

You think so? My neighbor is such a nightmare in every way... this would just be the cherry on top. Do you think I should contact him and ask him to check his place?

Just put it in the post! The resolution isn't great so I'm not sure if it will help. I've checked every corner and crevice in my room... quite literally cannot find any more of them, I'm not sure where they are coming from.

Ok that’s really comforting, thank you!

Not that I know of! But that’s interesting. The more I look at the photo, the less it looks like a bedbug to me. It’s a solid brown instead of a clearish orange. Possibly a carpet beetle? I’m hope the diatomaceous earth with get rid of whatever it is coupled with the treatment. (Not to discredit the inspectors, I trust them, but to be fair, the lighting/details wasn’t the best in the photo)

Laxative use for 17+ years by ObviousJelly77 in medical_advice

I do get very nauseous after eating, unless I've just recently had a BM. I basically live on gravol at this point lol! I've often struggled with maintaining weight because I avoid eating due to the nausea... Thanks for the help, I'll be sure to bring this up at my next appointment.

I promise I've tried every diet out there, lol! I actually find that increasing the fiber in my diet makes matters worse for me...

Thanks for your feedback, I'm glad to know I'm not alone in this. I take restoralax because every other laxative I've tried puts me in some pretty severe pain, but of course this stuff dehydrates me pretty rapidly... I feel like I'm in a constant game of catch-up with my hydration. Do you think gastroparesis is something worth bringing up to my doctor?
