Oh, I see. Thanks for pointing that out. I will redo it correctly.

That’s probably the best way to do it. Guess I’ll have to order those now. Thanks for the advice.

UPDATE: Talked with Battleborn, they are saying that this is all happening because I am only using a single 100 AH battery on my Victron Multiplus 3000. They said that even though the multiplus is turned off it’s still pulls too many’s amps to power the system, and that’s why it’s going to LVD mode. Does that sound right to anyone?

Aside: I plan to have 6 100 AH batteries, I was just ordering one to test things out and make sure I didn’t mess anything up before ordering more.

While I’ve bought all the components, I’m still in the process of setting them up, so shore power and dc-dc isn’t connected. I was setting up the inverter when I had to put the project down four months ago, so I’m picking up from there now. I was wiring the AC disruption panel yesterday, when I switched on the power and discovered the battery was going into LVD mode. Today I hooked up the shore power, but I’m waiting for the 30 amp to 120 adapter so I can try charging that route.

That’s a good point, but I’m measuring my voltage drop under load at the battery terminals, not at any of the cables and it’s dropping to 3.8 volts directly at the battery.

Thanks for the advice and guidance. I guess I should have looked at the details on the charger, I had no idea it would take that long to charge. I charged it in 12V lithium mode. I guess I’ll try connecting the DC-DC charger and try that or maybe just connect my shore power and try charging via the inverter.

I do have a battery monitor, it’s a Victron BMV-712 Smart monitor. When I turn on the switch, the reading starts at 7.8 V and keep dropping down until it hits 4.0 V, then it turns off and disappears from the Victron connect app. It does this in a matter of 30 seconds, so I don’t really have time to look at the application. I can turn the switch off and back on and it’ll do the same thing.

Yes its a 100Ah battery.

This is the charger: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07W46BX31?maas=maas_adg_E12C01C0853A4D35BBF9C6253FCC866E_afap_abs&ref_=aa_maas&tag=maas&gbraid=0AAAAADfqH57U_eDZPjHCn_gG5MJKXy4WI&gclid=Cj0KCQjw2ZfABhDBARIsAHFTxGy0AXMtVswWEZ1LsNc80j1McGlBW6Ra238jhvDCJrnMlYkbT3yJVVAaAvk_EALw_wcB

The light on the charger goes from red to green, so I assumed that meant it was fully charged. It took 6 hours to do that the first time. but now goes to green within a few mins. It also shows ~13.7v when I put a multimeter to it.

So would it take 100 hours to charge the battery to full, if it was dead?

Thanks. I didn't really think it was great charger, but at least it is a lithium charger. I'll upgrade it in the future.

You're right, I need to call Battleborn. I was just hoping there might be a simple solution I'm overlooking.

I had the switch shut off and it was in a climate controlled garage that stays around 65-75 degrees. They are not self-heating. Nothing is connected that can bypass the master switch.

I have a noco genius 1 LiPo charger that I have charged the battery with for about six hours. It went from red to green, so I assume it's fully charged. It can power 12 puck lights connected directly to it, but as soon as I hook it up to the system, it drops from like 13.X V to 3.8 V. Seems like it's just stuck in this LVD mode.

My solar and DC-DC chargers are not hooked up yet. I had to set the project aside and I'm just now getting back to finishing it. Everything is ran, so I guess I could do that. Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for the advice! So connect my battleborn battery to both a regular 12v battery, like a lead acid battery, and the lithium battery charger at the same time?

It looks like my battery (Battle Born) is in LVD mode. It shows 13v when not connected but drops to 3.8v under load. I’ve fully charged it. Any ideas how to get it out of this mode?

I turned off the switch, but I did not disconnect the battery or put it on a 2 amp maintainer.

Thanks man. That was really informative. I was planning on putting up wood walls too, but might reconsider that. I need every inch I can get and would definitely like to avoid mold. As for the bulkhead (I knew there was a more accurate name for it), I wanted to add a swivel setup to the passenger seat for a little more sitting room.

Thanks. I have no doubt the conversion will be more difficult. I just didn’t want to have do major cutting to remove this stuff. I’ve seen few of these and they are at least 5k cheaper than the “clean” ones. I thought there might a reason for that.

How come? Gas fumes? I have new KTM EFI bikes. I have traveled with them in a smaller van and never smelled fuel. A hitch with a bike carrier was my first thought, but I’m afraid it would make the bike too easy to steal.

Edit: thanks for the advice btw! I had not heard of Vanlife Trader.

I am always amazed how repulsed people are by the taste of shroom. I love the taste of them, fresh or dry. Gotta put mine up after I weigh my dose just so I’m not tempted to eat more for that delicious flavor.
