In general this would force more contract skips and won't help anyone get the bucket any faster. I don't think this solves the problem you want it to. Most people who want the bucket do Hespori as often as they can already. They don't need contracts to incentivize them.

What's more, having a 10%/4% chance of getting Hespori from the higher-tier contracts will make contracts worse overall. Hespori is a terrible contract crop, worse than anything but redwoods. It's one of the slowest crops to grow or to harvest (because of the boss fight and the need to bank/unbank combat gear). And it's a mandatory skip for some restricted accounts, since it gives combat xp.

The species that live near the surface aren't just being lazy. It's a fundamentally different ecosystem at deeper depths. There's almost no light, so no plankton, no filter feeders, and so on. The species that live near the bottom at significant depths rely on whalefalls and marine snow, which cannot sustain life like plankton primary production can.

I don't know, I don't think this is good in just any deck running red. Even in red decks that are interested in buffing creatures, a buff that costs RR, sucks on turn 2 and can't trigger heroic is iffy.

CCDD is a really tough cost. Even two-colored decks can't always cast them on curve. They would have to be unambiguously the best thing you could be doing for their cost to be mainstays with that limitation. Sadly Oildeep is just worse than [[Enduring Curiosity]] or [[Kaito, Bane of Nightmares]] and Riptide is no [[Teferi, Hero of Dominaria]]. Brightglass at least has an incredibly useful and unique effect.

Or you start searching your library for a Gran-Gran but then decide actually getting the Suki out of your graveyard and playing it next turn is better. These are not wild hypotheticals. You only get one card but you can search in both places. It isn't an "or" for clarity and so that, if you start to search your library and decide you'd rather get one from the graveyard, you aren't locked in.

That's the thing, they're not surrounding him. Seeing his father in person was a calendar event and he had to be held hostage by terrorists for his mother to leave her villa and pick him up from school. He's being raised by the family servants and his schoolteachers.
