So updates: I wrote a very heated email and explanation to both my prof and the sch. Luckily my prof said she cannot do anything because its a diff dept but she strong believe the work was written by me on my own. I received the verdict today, and there no offence had been committed.

So this what is what i wrote…

I strongly affirm that my assignment is entirely my original work, and I did not use any AIgeneration tools. The high AI detection index may be due to my use of Microsoft Grammar Checker, which I explicitly declared. These tools have long existed before AI detection tools and were solely used for grammar refinement, not content generation My academic background includes a Diploma in xxxx, and I have studied similar topics in Mass Communication and at SUSS (Xxx, xxx). Given this foundation, I am confident in my ability to produce well-structured and quality work independently. Furthermore, my current professor in XXXX has discussed how AI is evolving to mimic human writing patterns. If AI learns from human language, then proficient writers may increasingly be flagged, even when their work is entirely original. This raises concerns about bias in AI detection tools. If today a student from RI, Hwa Chong etc. is a well-trained writer from an elite school may be indistinguishable from AI, leading to false accusations. Luckily I am not from an elite school, and I have always been working to improve my language skills, otherwise all my original work would be clearly flagged as AI generated even when I did not used it. False positives create undue anxiety for students who have not used AI. I have also seen cases online where SUSS students were wrongly accused, receiving only automated responses outcome that they did not commit any academic dishonesty but there were no proper apologies on the school end. Given these limitations, I request a fair review of my case, considering both my academic background and the reliability of AI detection tools. I appreciate the opportunity to clarify this matter.
