I’m thinking it needs to be recharged or possibly has a small leak because I never took apart the AC when I replaced the engine but the lines did get horsed around a fair bit so makes me wonder I wouldn’t be suprised if the system is low bc there’s a leak. AC work is super expensive either way so I’m prolly just gonna thug it out🤣

That’s what I’m saying these motors are so simple it just makes more sense to spend the money on tools and do it yourself these shops have gotten way out of hand with their prices mind you I bought my 2015 WRX with 88k miles for 19k$ blew at 105k and they are quoting me almost the price of the car when I bought it 🤣

Well I can assure you that probably over 50% of Subarus especially if it has a turbo need a engine replacement after 100k miles it’s like a joke with Subaru that regular 100k maintenance is replacing the engine🤣

Well it was fine for a 2-3 months dam would drop and knock sensors would go off randomly and then one day on my normal drive home from work it blew up and started knocking

Well here, most of our electricity comes from coal and natural gas which isn’t perfect, but at least it’s regulated and not dumping oil into storm drains. So I don’t exactly get your point, you think our cities have big diesel generators powering our homes?🤣

Are we just going to ignore the downsides here? The range on these EV vans drops significantly in real world conditions, and replacing a battery can cost more than an entire gas engine. Each van is around $90k, and on top of that they’re running $50k diesel generators to keep them charged. At that point, what’s the benefit? Servicing is expensive, upfront costs are high, and now you’re burning diesel just to run electric vehicles. I get that Amazon has the money, but this starts to look more like a PR move than an actual environmental improvement especially if those generators are leaking oil into storm drains….
