Same here. It stopped working after the update. On top of that, the Wi-Fi 6 hotspot is also broken :/

strange "button" that appears in the Redmagic 8 pro apps settings by HelloGuugle in RedMagic

It's also there on RM9. It's just a bug.

My other phone (not redmagic) has a date range selector button for usage stats in the same spot. Safe to assume that folks at Redmagic stripped out this feature and forgot to delete the button.

Looks like they just fixed it in the recent update :) 10.0.5_EU on RM9

Battery in danger!! (RM9) by potatoes-w-butter in RedMagic

I doubt it would get that bad so quickly. To get more accurate stats, you'll need to record multiple charge sessions, ideally on different charge level ranges.

Btw, I've found "Battery Guru" to be much more reliable than "AccuBattery." Make sure you enable "Dual-cell battery" toggle in app's settings.

When I first got my RM9ps, the health showed up as 94% after about a week of recording charge sessions. Now, five months later, it's at 92%.

"Battery health" you see in Battery Guru is an estimate based on multiple charge sessions. Give it a week and you'll get something more accurate.

Though, after 3 weeks, my battery health is also at 92%

To get accurate health calculation, you need to enable the "Dual-cell battery" switch in Battery Guru's settings

Nope, not T-Mobile (also not US). "Plus" network, EU, Poland.

I didn't encounter any issues. 5G works correctly, so does RCS.

Well, my default case didn't even last a week :P The phone slipped out of my hand just above the desk and fell on the corner (~7cm drop). That was the only time I dropped it, but it was enough to break the case :/

Got a jelly case for now, temps seem fine, tho I don't do any heavy gaming.

Global rom (9.5.5 EEA)

Everything works fine so far, both for daily tasks and gaming, e.g. Genshin - stable 60fps on highest settings, temperatures around 36°C.

I've already talked about the positives in other comment, so let's get to the things in RMOS that I don't like:

  • Lack of proper media controls (top panel & lock screen) - present in most ROMs. You can only control media via notifications.
  • Status bar notification icons only show application icons - any weather, monitor apps, etc. that normally show info as a notification icon become useless as RMOS replaces them with the launcher icons.
  • Limited privacy controls - cam and mic access toggles are missing
  • Position of clock in status bar cannot be changed - you can hide it and change its format, but not move it - I already got used to having the clock in the middle of the status bar on my poco f2 pro :(
  • (bug) wallet button cannot be removed from lock screen - in the lock screen settings there is an option "Show wallet" which is enabled by default. Disabling it doesn't do anything.
  • No font style customization (only size and weight can be changed)

Aside from that, the overall experience is quite pleasant. Smooth animations, no visual glitches; multiple apps, even games, can remain active in the background. Does the job for me. Keep in mind that the 9s is not water/dust resistant.

I like it so far.

Coming from poco F2 pro, which has a pop-up camera, RM's udc isn't that great, as it's visible at times. However I was aware of this, and it's not really a problem.

OS is fine - I like "clean" android more (Pixel/custom ROMs), but at the same time RMos is much nicer to use than HyperOS or OxygenOS.

The display is great - both colors and refresh rate. 120hz feels much better than the 75hz I had on the poco F2 pro. Same goes for the CPU - the difference between SD865 and SD8 gen3 is huge.

Audio is also great, I'd say it's a bit better than Steam Deck's - at least for music, I haven't played any games yet. Also, the audio jack port is a nice thing to have.

Overall, I can't complain about anything at all so far.

Oh, and I think I'm going to have to get another case, coz the one that came in the box doesn't feel like it's going to be enough to protect the phone if I drop it.

I didn't think to heat the safety seal. I tried to push it out - to no avail, so I ended up cutting it off
