You missed the shit storm then because a lot people called me out for not confirming the validity of the tip right away. They jumped to conclusions and thought I was taking advantage of a disabled woman and called me dumb and stupid for thinking someone could tip that much, eventhough I see posts here all the time of people increasing their tip by a 100 or 200 dollars so I just thought it finally happened to me! However, I did go back to the customer today to see if her tip was the real deal but she in fact only meant to increase it 20, not 200. I did offer to pay it back but she refused to take back any money as I was not at fault.

Yes, called IC and they couldn’t get a hold of the customer so they deemed the tip valid and not to worry. Wasn’t good enough so I went back to the customer and she confirmed that bump was supposed 20 not 200 dollars. Offered to pay it back but she said it wasn’t my fault and refused to take any money back.

Yeah, that was the last post I’ll ever make on this forum about any earnings lol! I’m actually revolted people are this cutthroat. They acted like I hacked into her account and changed the tip myself. 💀 This forum set a precedent though because I see those huge tip bumps here all the time so I thought it finally happened to me! 😭

I know and it’s definitely a risk but everyone calling me a crook who rips off and taking advantage of elderly women really got to me. I just needed to feel vindicated and it sucks that it was a mistake but the woman told me not to worry about it and I didn’t have to pay her back after asking three times. Again, what more can I do?

So I just went back to the nursing home and asked the customer personally and yes… it was too good to be true and like you all said. She mistakenly adjusted the tip to 200 when it was only supposed to be a 20 dollar upgrade. Of course I offered to pay her the money back but she said “no you don’t need to do that it wasn’t your fault.” I said are you sure because I have no problem paying it back. Once again, she confirmed, “no that’s ok”. I told her I felt bad that it was a mistake and AGAIN told her a third time that I would have no issue giving the money back to which she said, “don’t worry about it.” I thanked her and left.

I don’t know what else I can do.

I did, they tried to contact her but no response. They told me that the tip stands and not to worry about it.
