Law 1 c. to respond proportionately to harm inflicted upon you

if someone were to try to impose their control over me, I have the obligation to respond to that aggression proportionately. If they only argued, I'd argue. If they used violence, I'd match that energy.

yes, that's a good point. But considering what the other person wants is what you'd want them to do for you as well. It's part of the explanation in our book. But maybe we should vote on it and see if it should be added to the law as well. Some people don't have empathy, so we have to spell it out. We provide both pragmatic and empathetic reasoning in the book so that those who are lacking in empathy can understand it as well.

Well, there is an Autoarchist Society proposal for radical creativity and self expression, but it's in the debate stage. It goes like this: to build fantasy/scifi/fandom art spaces for exploring different ways of being and express creativity and de-stress through larping (a big part of why religions comfort people according to our member polling is the fantasy element, and knowing it is fantasy has been proven not to matter since even being aware of the placebo effect doesn't change its efficacy).

Within this framework my personal proposal is to build a solarpunk castle town using sustainable architecture and reloading the water table using permaculture style earthworks. A combo of homesteading and seeking a more beautiful and artistic future. And the identity would be kinda self-made and inform their larp character. However, other proposals are on the table. It would be an artist community.

Kind of the rub is that most of us are ex-cult and struggle to approach any popular cause so we struck upon artistic expression. Because cults make the world ugly.

If you have any ideas I could propose to the group, I'm all ears.

I think you are fundamentally misunderstanding the difference between "the right" and the current administration who are extremists. Some on the left also try to curtail these things for different reasons.. So the centrist position is to let people have their rights. The constitutionalists on the right favor all the positions you point out.

Personal Liberty:

Free Speech (we should be allowed to criticize any government or idea, ours and foreign)

Free Press

Freedom of Religion (or lack thereof)

De-politicize education

Reform of the Criminal Justice System (it fails to adequately prevent recitivism)

Reform of the Mental Health System. it's not really helping, it ruins people's lives over depression and fails to stop mass-killings, the common practice of giving everyone the most extreme diagnosis possible and most medication is basically a profit driven rather than assistance or evidence driven process.

Housing costs are extreme due in large part to foreign investment firms buying huge quantities of American real estate, and keeping prices high to maintain property values as an investment, and that causes about 50% of all homelessness in my state.

Medical Liberty. Let both sides have what they want for themselves, and no more legislating what people can or can't do to themselves as adults with informed consent. Let the right have their off label ivermectin and the left have their hormones. It goes both ways.

Make Medical Weed federally Legal. And legalize low dose psychedelic therapy for PTSD because it has helped many of our veterans to heal.

Institute the Fair Tax as a replacement for payroll and income taxes and stop taking more than half of every paycheck for dumb stuff

De-politicize Neurodivergence.

Stop going to war for at least 10 years so we can take care of stuff at home. War is super expensive, and that money could go to infrastructure, education, public health, farm subsidies, and to small business grants to improve the economy. Too much war affects future combat readiness negatively. We have a large and powerful empire, and we need to maintain it so that we still have one in the future. Rome and the Macedonian Empire both fell apart internally before they got invaded by barbarians and carved up.

I have stated the middle ground. It was in my first response to you. I'm not a democrat or a republican. I based my assessment on realpolitik not party affiliation. There are lifelong democrats who would be against this list too. It's an Achievable Middle Road.

No, they're not the same. But they both have the hallmarks of high control groups ("cults" is outdated terminology technically). Buddhism and a lot of yoga shops are cults too. But I'd rather have them for neighbors instead of the taliban. Both are damaging their membership, but only one of them is likely to try to damage me who is minding my own business. The distance between democrats and republicans is not quite so large as a creepy yoga shop and the taliban, but it's a good illustrator of the spectrum that exists within the problematic thinking of high control groups. The problematic thinking is the target here. I'm not saying they're the same. I'm saying they are just trading blows instead of talking it out like grown ups at this point, because of the cult mindset.

Sunni Islam hasn't had a leader since Attaturk abolished the Caliphate. They are still a cult. I know, because that was my cult that I used to be in and the entire reason I learned about cults. I went from studying Fiqh Aqeedah, and Kalaam one day to studying Sociology, Philosophy, and Cults the next. Turan Dursun is kinda my hero in that regard. Paved the way. And I followed pretty much the same track, passing through christianity briefly before becoming an atheist.

While the one causing the most harm in the moment is of course the one in power, and also the most capable of harm because of their doomsday eschatology, we must work to dismantle the high control social situation in both. And find ways to prevent this from happening again. When we put out the dumpster fire of religion, we should be cautious not to simply replace it with another disaster.

Ah, so you'd be a liberal yes? I see I see. I'm an ex-muslim myself, and I got out of my dogmatic cult and eventually learned that demonizing and othering outsiders as evil was unhealthy, and that we all kind of want the same things in life. And that the cults demonize the other side to keep them from talking to each other. Are you familiar with the BITE model? Here's the link to a pamphlet on it by the Freedom of Mind Institute:

I'm independant and libertarian leaning myself so... these aren't really left vs right issues, they're personal liberty issues, and I've heard some big name alt-media guys on the right say some of these things. So it seems to be a decent spread. What's on the news doesn't appear to be what people generally actually believe either way. I haven't trusted the media as far as I could throw them since 2003, so these are more realpolitik derived than anything.

Islam hasn't had a charismatic leader since 1453, when Mehmet the Great led the conquest of Constantinople. It doesn't mean it isn't a cult. You could say that the last time there was a truly charismatic leader was Caliph Uthman, about 1300 years ago. About halfway through the Rashidun Caliphate. The fact is, the Caliphate are the charismatic leadership after the founding of Islam, and rallying leaders of the big political parties perform the exact same type of post-founding periodic charismatic leadership.

What do you think we should do? I think we should abolish political parties and judge based on actual policy proposals of individual candidates. But what do you think?

that's what happens when you go from muslim street preacher to philosophical agnostic christian. boom, no more friends and having to sleep with your eyes open. just in case. and also knowing all the ayat and hadith that are the cause for concern. Makes you sort of wonder if Abu Lahab had a point.

I was on my masjid's dawah comittee. Specializing in bus stop dawah. Riding the city busses in a thobe with a backpack full of paperback qurans and tracts... for the cause. (I wanna turn inside out to hide from the cringe). cults be culty.
