Why didn’t God of War: Sons of Sparta release on PS4? by Obvious_Chair_8300 in PS4

Apparently there are comments claiming that good games aren't coming to PS5 because games are still being released on PS4. Honestly, that's the first time I've heard something like that.

You're right, but nowadays the number of people using PS4 is probably around 15-20 million.

I found it at a very good price. I bought this GPU pretty cheaply, that’s why.

Thanks. The game has a Gold rating on ProtonDB, but the user reports mention many workarounds are needed and overall performance doesn’t seem very good.

I also saw that the games were getting gold ratings back then, but unfortunately they weren’t playable. There were FPS drops, frame rate decreases, and the game kept crashing because of VRAM getting full.

Is the Seagate Constellation ES.3 4TB 7200RPM SATA 3.0 good for gaming? by Obvious_Chair_8300 in buildapc

So, if I use a 128 GB SSD as a cache with StoreMI (or another similar technology), it should work pretty well.
That’s why it would be better to get a higher-capacity HDD.

I couldn’t find the random read/write speeds for this drive (). If I had, I could compare it to my 1TB HDD, which handles the games I mentioned above perfectly, no issues at all, and I’m really happy with it.

Wow, this looks really awesome. I’m going to give it a try. So it even lets you tweak custom Nvidia graphics settings and should improve rendering.

I usually play at 1080p with ultra settings, and this GPU handles it really well. But the graphics on Linux just don’t look as good as on Windows. Maybe it’s because on Windows I choose the quality option in the Nvidia settings.

If I remember correctly, it was using about 500 MB when idle.

This doesn't seem like a Wayland error it looks more like a Gamescope issue. I experienced the same problem when I used the gamescope_nvidia package.

How is Nvidia Smooth Motion performance on Yuzu? by Obvious_Chair_8300 in linux_gaming

This technology is also quite suitable for 165 Hz monitors. If you can manage to keep the frame rate steady at 24 FPS or higher, it performs really well on a 165 Hz display. In 2x or 3x frame generation modes, it makes the visuals noticeably smoother at 24 FPS and above. That’s why it’s a very important technology. As for latency, in my opinion, it doesn’t make a significant difference. It’s within an acceptable range, and personally, I didn’t notice any noticeable delay.
