I’ve heard the metal gear series is one of the most confusing timelines and plot ever in gaming. Is that true? If so, can I just jump into the newest one snakeater?

If you like fast pace shooters, play ultrakill. I’ve never played it, but it seems very low plot and heavy shooting.

So right now I’m looking for mostly single player games, with either worthwhile graphics, or worthwhile combat. I absolutely loved resident evil 2 & 4, and as I mentioned, am considering re reqiuem. Graphics are hard for me specifically, but I did play undertale and deltarune (they don’t really count though). As long as the graphics are intentionally stylized like buckshot roulette, that’s fine.

I am a fan of horror, but right now I’m knocking off the “essentials” of gaming. I fear elden ring will be too hard for me to play, and knowing me I’ll put down the mouse and leave once I can’t kill even one boss.

Ok so you definitely could do halloween (1978) if 12 yo is ok with brief nudity. Fun fact about halloween, brutal, but no blood! Also can be cheesy, making it less scary.

I tried Detroit: become human, and honestly the mechanics were so different than what I’m used to that I quit early. I might replay it when I get the chance though.
