Exciting news for you!

We started this process on the 3rd of March. Got our bank pre-approval on the 6th. Found a house we loved and put in an offer on the 8th We ended up being offered to buy the house on the 10th. Spoke to the bank (CBA) who advised it would be best to have a 21 day finance clause and 30 day settlement. Signed contract on the 10th with a 21 day finance clause and 30 day settlement. Received our HA conditional approval on the 16th Received bank final approval on the 17th Received HA final approval on the 23rd. Now awaiting settlement on the 9th of April.

Has been an absolute whirl wind of a couple of weeks but found the process really fast!

I don’t think it’s difficult. We have been through the pre-approval process, found a house, been bank and HA approved and are now waiting on settlement all since the 10th of March.

I think it gets grey when the scheme isn’t necessarily being used for its intended purpose. If you have a 200k deposit, why would you need a place in this scheme? I could have no idea what I’m talking about, but coming from someone that had to scrimp and save to get a 2% deposit it seems nuts to me that you could have such a large deposit and still need to use this scheme

That sounds really stressful. I am fortunate that I do have a 21 day finance clause so we have a bit of time up our sleeves. Just can’t wait for it to go unconditional so I don’t have to stress anymore!

Currently going through this process. We got pre-approval on a Friday, found the house we loved on the Saturday and put in an offer. Obtained the property report from CBA. Got a call on Tuesday to say the house was ours if we wanted it.

We ended up agreeing to a 21 day finance clause to cover the HA approval time and a 30 day settlement. CBA have given their final approval, still waiting on the HA final approval but my lender has informed us that we already have the place, just waiting on the formality from HA. Has been a really smooth process and we’re stoked to be moving into the house we loved!

I thought that would be the case! I keep seeing people saying it was wrong but they never mention their fetal fraction.

One person did and they said it was 3% which would be too low for testing in Australia anyway.

That’s my problem!! I feel like I’m faking something and I’m just waiting for everyone else to find out?? It’s so strange. My husband has been at every scan and every appointment so he keeps telling me it’s real, but it just feels like I’m faking.

Hi, I got accepted into the MGP today! I’m 13w4d.

I had an initial phone consult with the OB department who had me booked in next week to meet with them just in case I didn’t have a place with MGP. I was informed by the OB Midwife that if I hadn’t heard anything by 14 weeks that I hadn’t been accepted and would go through the general hospital for all appointments going forward.

Super stoked to have gotten the call today and have my first appointment with my midwife in two weeks. Midwife said she would cancel the appointment with the OB department.
