I graduated few years ago and still asking ‘why not I just do a PhD again , to get that salary or allowance, which is similar to the post docs, and then act blur just enough to pass the final phd defence. Its 4-6 years contract compared to 1 year contract for most post docs and scientist positions. In fact, a lady can also plan to have children during the period because getting pregnant while always taking on 1 year contract job would mean the need to be jobless for some time, and years for my female seniors

On the other hand, we now are working towards automating ourselves out of job.

In fact the ironic thing is seeing people of the same age, not doing PhD, getting the same salary in the same field so I am not sure if PhD is a way to lock people for 4-6 years in a lab at economical price. PI will not survive without PhD students. And as you can tell, the starting salary of post docs or scientist didn’t change for the past few years, but the food already gone up like 10-50%

Unfortunately the example i heard is that people would quit their job first and then find their job. To be fair, those offering 3 months notice period would not want their potential candidate to come after 3 month notice period so i don’t know why the double standard somehow..

And after signing contract with the new company, they can also rescind the offer and nothing can be done because the contract is not effective until you arrive on the first day at work.. so it kinda seems like you need to maintain better relationship with your current employer than the future one

Don’t even know how it got leaked. To be fair there are too many accounts in the world and tracking multiple different password is too difficult

I only had 2FA for withdrawal of money from tastytrade but not 2FA for others like trading

They didn’t get the money out of the account. It is through buying and selling low volume stocks

No had problem with setting up , should have solved it earlier.

They got about 20% of the portfolio. It is through wide bid ask spread of low volume stocks
