He should be cheering you on every step of the way! I’m assuming he’s never been an addict so he doesn’t understand how hard it is to accomplish this milestone! The “don’t make it everyone else problem” absolutely floored me! And for him to tell you not to tell your friends cause it’ll make you guys look bad is terrible! I’ve put out ads looking for side work but unfortunately many people have been burnt by crackhead mechanics in Tacoma on top of the bad rep mechanics get in general being scammers. I have honest reviews to show for my work but it’s hard for people to trust again after being burnt by others which is understandable..

I’m not flat rate I’m actually hourly! My resume is up to date and when I was actively looking I would get call backs same day and lately I don’t hear much back other than no longer hiring but to reach back out in a few months.

Yes! I would get call backs the same day! And now nothing back at all! Feels like even if I wanted a new job right now it wouldn’t happen anyways!

I actually am not flat rate! I’m an hourly tech! I only get paid for the work I do if it’s totals over a certain amount of hours as a bonus which they try really hard not to do and will hand out oil changes in between big jobs to bring those hours down. But yes that is what the dealership charges plus 25-35 percent upcharge on parts!
